I lost motivation to finish this after the second outfit

then @so-called-yokai 's oc Eshra held a gun to my head and said, "Dress him."

So i dressed him :]

Behold; my questionable taste in fashion!

It was supposed to be four outfits loosely inspired by the turtles, but i completely lost motivation to do raph's one :,]

(I blame so-called-yokai for the third one, giving me fashion ideas for peepaw)

I know my clothes drawing skills aren't the best, so it's not perfect, lol. Just part of the journey I'm on

Work wear, of course. cause that's definitely one of my favorite kinds of clothes, ngl

You can blame so-called-yokai for the sheer croptop and skinny jeans since they didn't stop me when i brought up the ideas, lol

This was the original one! I decided to try dressing him up and had future mikey floating around my brain, then i decided to try making more, and uhh, here we are :p

And of course, i just had to try to draw so-called-yokai's oc Eshra! Gave him a matching colour scheme while i was at it, lol

I 100% recommend checking their writing out! They're really skilled, and we have recently teamed up to make a crossover AU! 'Semi-Feral Polaroids'! They're writing these adorable snippets about my nardo, leo, and their oc!

There is no lore whatsoever behind this picture, I just did what I thought looked cool lmao

I've been part of this fandom for a little while now, but I haven't made any art related to it until now. (scandalous, I know)

I think it's pretty obvious that I didn't stick 100% to his canon design, but took a few creative liberties regarding things like his markings and shell.

One thing I had a lot of fun with was choosing which colours to use, and how to then shade each colour later on :]

It's really cool to see a character that I relate to so much in my own art style, I'll definetly be creating more fan-art in the future! ^-^

(and I don't doubt these green dudes will re-appear in my art, it was fun to draw something that isn't quite human :])

Having a traumatic childhood means you cannot talk even objectively about your basic foundational experiences without it being "venting", even if you're not actually venting. You just straight up have a huge chunk of your life you can't talk about, full stop, without it being trauma dumping.

And it not being socially acceptable to talk about your own childhood is super alienating. Sometimes people want to know why, and any answer you can give them is going to be off putting.

It's to the point I get irritated when something I said is framed as venting when I'm literally just talking about my life experiences, doing my best to keep emotion out of it.

What's up, peeps?

So, I was once again playing Legend of Mushroom. After about a week of building up the courage to try and make conversation in the server chat (give or take a day or two), I finally did it! My heart was beating so hard that it actually moved my whole body with every beat, but I did it :]

I really thought everything was going well, I managed to kind of hold a conversation and even earned myself a friend request in the process, but then I made the mistake of mentioning that I'm queer.

Cue the transphobic jokes, slurs, people ganging up on me whenever I try to contribute to the conversation, telling me that I'm either a man or a woman, and telling me to "stop making everything about gender" when I had in fact only mentioned it a handful of times because people were asking me questions about it.

I quickly gave up on trying to make friends.

One very strong panic attack later, and I'm stuck wondering why people are so mean

I didn't say anything bad or mean, I was just trying to contribute to the conversation :[

One kind person sent me a private message asking if I was okay, this person is also the one who sent me the friend request :]

It really made me feel a lot better, I'm extremely grateful ^-^

I'm still shaking, and I will be for a while, but I would be crying right now if it weren't for them.

Moral of the story:

1. don't ever mention anything about being queer in an online game server chat, it is never a safe space, and it will discourage you from ever typing another chat message again.

2. Reach out to people when you think they might need it. It never, ever hurts to check in on someone just in case. Worst case scenario, they'll just brush it off and continue with their day. Best case scenario, you just saved someone's life. I really can't stress this enough, don't be afraid to spread kindness in a world where it's so incredibly needed.
