ft. my rubbish photography skills. can u tell i drew these without references?

we as a fandom severely underutilise the fact that my girl penelope is half (water) nymph. i drew her with pearls and a lil starfish :D

also her hair to me is wavy bc sea waves lol. pointy ears!!

odysseus however has super curly hair made a tangled mess by the years of saltwater and not a single comb within a 5 mile radius

hes supposed to be wearing a cloak but the shading is off so sorry

athena has lichtenberg scars (click for full picture) and curly short hair

owlishly big round beautiful eyes (just like me fr fr) and her helmet has owl motifs (not depicted lmao)

and ofc my trademark of doodling on my lecture notes. i decided to keep the words because i think it turned out hilarious

i originally had isolate ignore inquire for my boi telemachus but i chickened out because i cant draw to save my life

to all the (epic) artists out there im begging u for ur hades designs. i literally cannot get enough of him and hes not included in the fandom's art and content (which is fair bc he hasnt debuted lol) but id be grateful for crumbs :D

cut to a brightly-lit comic scene. tagaka sits on an icy throne, idly inspecting her sheathed gold sword, as she says, "So the way I see it, you've got two options here, Earth Kingdom Girl. Like I told you before, I like your potential. I'm not opposed to letting you join the Fifth Nation if you're up for it." Tagaka's speech bubble continues over a panel of Kyoshi: she glares angrily up at Tagaka, kneeling with her arms tied behind her back. Tagaka continues, "If you're not... then I'll just have to kill you." The next panel is a close-up shot of Tagaka unsheathing her sword partway, a bright gleam illuminating the blade.

the next panel zooms in on Kyoshi's gritted teeth. Her breath is cloudy from the cold air. She thinks to herself, "Damn it...! Die, or become a daofei?" The next panel depicts Jesa and Hark, glaring, with a dark background and red overlay. Kyoshi thinks to herself, "I think I might literally rather die." The next panel shows Kyoshi's eyes, lined with worry. She thinks: "But... this isn't about what I want."

The next panel is a somewhat zoomed-out shot that shows Tagaka staring down at Kyoshi from her throne. Yun is completely encased in ice at her feet. Kyoshi's inner thoughts read: Right now... I need to stay alive long enough to get Yun out of this."

Closeup of Tagaka's disdainful expression. She says, "Well?" Angry but cornered, Kyoshi mutters, "...Fine. I'll join you."

the next page is a completely different scene that takes place some time later. in a dimly-lit room, Yun sits on a cushioned chair, looking exhausted, with his arm and part of his face bandaged. Rangi stands before him, and says, "I'm really glad to see you safe. They wouldn't let me come on the rescue mission, they said--" She pauses. The art zooms in on her concerned expression. She says, "Wait. Yun, where's Kyoshi?" Yun says, "Rangi--...Kyoshi's dead. Tagaka killed her." The last panel is a very zoomed-in shot of Rangi's eyes, wide with horror and shining with grief.

the next page is in a much simpler style than the rest of the comic. tagaka reclines with a glass of some alcoholic beverage, looking nonchalant. the text reads: wow i love lying to children lol.

a new scene, back with kyoshi and tagaka, at night. Tagaka approaches Kyoshi from behind and says, "Sneaking around again?" Kyoshi's face is surprised as she says, "I--I don't know what you're talking about." Tagaka raises an eyebrow skeptically and says, "Oh, please. I'm not an idiot, girl. I know perfectly well you'd run away in a heartbeat if you could. When will you get it through your head? You're better off here than you ever were in Yokoya." Kyoshi's face is in shadow, not visible to Tagaka, but she glares and thinks, "Like hell I am."
