Rangi Sei'naka - Tumblr Posts
"She was strength and skill and determination wrapped around an unshakeable heart."
I think about this scene at least once a day ;; (click for full views!)
funniest image in existence
rangi sei’naka you are everything to me
“Well good news, I found some edible mushrooms! They’re over here!” She scooped down, picked Rangi up around her waist, and proceeded to carry her like a very docile cat mouse…or a sack of flour. Regardless, Rangi hung there limply, not bothering to protest.
Excerpt from Ch 6 of the fanfic Thief in the Avatar's Estate
(Ft. Rangi being a pathetic lil mew mew. just an absolute wet cat)
Rangi: And we are very disappointed, young lady!
Kyoshi: The rules were very clear!
Rangi: And you still broke them all!
Kyoshi: Well, half...
Rangi: Most of them!
Sixteen-year-old Koko: Well, it's YOUR fault for not setting a better example for me! You CAN'T expect me not to break your rules when you both breaks the law ALL THE TIME!!
Rangi: ...
Kyoshi:...
Hei Ren: She has a point, you know.
Rangi: Please no, mom.
working on a Rangi x EPIC: The Musical crossover - here's some WIP
I know im late but ,Happy rangshi week!
Day 1(2?) : Love Across Tmelines
today i bring you an angsty AU
i have my own idea on how rangshi found koko that has all the plot, conflict, and characters potential to be a 3rd kyoshi book
but i cant write
i want to make it a comic so bad
There is something so important to me in Rangi always being so determined to be the best of herself, to not disapoint, because her duty, her "armor self" is who she was trained to be, its where she hold her pride over and she cannot fail, as if she does it she is nothing
But is in the iceberg where Kyoshi gasped at the vision of Rangi without her armor and her top knot that is the first time in the books we actually see Kyoshi looking at Rangi in a romantic way
There is just something so sweat in Kyoshi not even knowing from what clan Rangi is from, but noticing that she trace the flor with her finger when she's nervous
Or how she is so happy to discover Rangi's favorite snack, and momentarily froget all the anxiet about the party she's in and start to think in how to get them into Yokoya
How she overflows with love at Rangi exasperaed ranting at her about traveling with her mom, because is in these moments Kyoshi can see Rangi just being herself, and its when (in her own words) she fells falling in love again
Rewatching Avatar and reading Kyoshi novels for the first time. Shit hard asf. Redraw of a scene from the shadow of Kyoshi btw
A memory of Kyoshi, Rangi, and Koko in Yokoya for summer vacation.
kyoshi if she listened to her intrusive thoughts
Hei-Ran: *watches as her daughter sprints across the mansion to look impressive in front of Kyoshi*
Hei-Ran: *remembers the time she was walking by Junsik and stared at him for so long she collided with a wall*
Hei-Ran: she’s just like me for real
canon rangshi dynamic be like
Saw something that said Kyoshi and Kuruk likely ended up with more of a brother/sister relationship than a mentor/student one and I’m here for it:
Kyoshi, spiritually contacting Kuruk: holy shit dude you’re not gonna believe this
Kuruk: girl what’s going on out there?
Kyoshi: okay so basically Hei-Ran is so obviously into this Water Tribe chick right? So being the amazing future daughter in law that I am, I set them up
Kuruk, gasping: you didn’t!
Kyoshi: I totally did. It worked, as I knew it would because I know a useless bisexual when I see one. However, it seems that Rangi is unaware of the fact that they’re dating
Kuruk, cracking up: that’s adorable! Oh, that kid always had a bit of issues trying to find out who likes who
Kyoshi: I know right? Good thing I’m so perceptive!
Kuruk, snorting: yeah okay
Kyoshi, frowning: why did you say it like that?
Kuruk: you are probably then most dense woman alive
Kyoshi, offended: I am not! I am so aware of stuff!
Kuruk, deadpanned: Rangi had a crush on you literally the entire time you guys lived in the mansion
Kyoshi: that-that is a lie! There’s no way! She did not give me a single hint!
Kuruk: a month after you moved into the mansion, Rangi spent the entire day glued to your side because you mentioned you had a nightmare
Kyoshi, blushing: she was being a good friend
Kuruk: she was holding your hand the entire time. When have you seen Rangi initiate physical contact with anyone else in general?
Kyoshi:……………….if you weren’t dead already I’d punch you so hard you’d be sent to the spirit realm
[Kyoshi's trying to tell Rangi and Hei-Ran about Kuruk's troubles with spirits, but she accidently mentions he was deeply in love with Hei-Ran]
Hei-Ran: So, you're telling me you spent your time communing with the past Avatars discussing Kuruk's man-whoring?
Kyoshi, blushing: It was relevant...
Hei-Ran: How?
Kyoshi: Well, there was this poem... That's how Kelsang knew I was the Avatar and ---
Rangi, interrupting: What do you mean?
Hei-Ran: You entered the Avatar State in our battle against Tagaka. That's how we knew.
Kyoshi: You see, no... you know, this is not about the poem!
Rangi: So you did know!
Kyoshi: No! No, I thought the poem was about you!
Hei-Ran: What?
Kyoshi: No, not like that! I thought I'd come up with it!
Rangi: How a poem that was supposedly about me would make Kelsang think you were the Avatar?
Kyoshi, looking at Rangi, then at Hei-Ran, and back at Rangi, blushing intensely and gesturing widely: Well, you two are terribly similar!
Hei-Ran, sighing and pursing her lips: Terribly, indeed...
"Rangi must have lived almost as long as kyoshi and also been staying alive via meditation, kyoshi would have just fallen apart without her"
No, we're missing an angst opportunity here guys
Yes, we all know that Kyoshi would be a mess without her and would probably either neglect herself to the point of dying or kill herself, but you know who else knows this?
Rangi.
I'm picturing Rangi on her deathbed, terrified of this eventuality, with her last breath begging Kyoshi not to die for her, to take care of herself.
Of course even with this, Kyoshi, despairing tries anyways and gets damn close.
But at the last second, she stops. She can hear Rangi almost see her crying in front of her, begging her not to do this.
So she lives, and keeps up her meditation because every morning she can picture Rangi, crying, begging her to keep going. To live for her.
So, over two centuries pass with several attempts, moments she almost gives in, almost let's go. The memory of Rangi stops her each time.
In the end though time takes its toll on her memory, her voice, her face, it all fades away.
Her grief and pain does not, only worsening with the realization she does not remember her love, her joy.
She can't remember her insistence on stupid horse stance training, their kiss on the beach, what made her laugh, what made her cry. Not even what either of those sounded like.
So-at last- when she tries, no voice, no tears, no face comes to stop her, to beg her to fulfill her final wish.
A wish she can't even remember.
