God Games really showed how much Athena cares for Ody... because she literally participated in a disco battle with the Queen of the Gods

To be honest, the only real dumb decision Ody made was when he gave his name to someone who he should've killed. The other dumb decisions in the musical are either made by the gods or by his crew

In Charybdis, when Ody sang " I don't even have to kill you. I just have to avoid you", he sounded so idk happy? Like for once he doesn't have to kill someone just to get home. Since Troy Saga, he always had to kill or sacrifice someone just to survive. Now, all he had to do is avoid.

I'm still playing the snippet and I will not apologize for it

Orpheus: *sings about missing his wife and doing anything to get her back*

Hades: Fine. Here.

Orpheus: *looked back, lost his wife, then died later on*

Hades: Well, too bad. At least we got rid of the singer husband.

Odysseus: I MUST GET TO SEE PENELOPE AND TELEMACHUS... AND IF I HAVE TO THROW ANOTHER INFANT FROM THE WALL IN AN INSTANT... THEN I'LL BECOME THE MONSTER!!!!!

I find it funny how Hades had to deal with a singer who wants to see his wife.

Then later see a man bring in a whole choir to sing about how he needs to see his wife.

part one of my epic the musical god/goddess designs

First up Aphrodite!!!

so when making designs I have a hard time straying from the source material. Like its so bad once when I was a kid I refuse to use a coloring book my mom got me because I had never watched the show and so didn't know what the characters looked like, I wouldn't just color them in however so making the Greek gods/ goddess is definitely out of my comfort zone.

Some fun facts (literally one fact) about the design:

The sash around her waist is in reference to a painting of her with Ares and two of their sons.

I didn't add any shading because I suck at it.

I just realized smth heartbreaking- also to everyone who is hasn't listened to Epic the musical...go listen to it all in order then read this...

EUROLYCHUS WAS SO UPSET AT ODYSSEUS IN MUTINY BECAUSE HE THOUGHT ODYSSEUS WAS THE MAN HE WASNT. ODYSSEUS ROUTINELY MAKES THE RIGHT CALLS AND EUROLYCHUS OFTEN DOUBTS HIM OR FUCKS IT UP. EUROLYCHUS EVEN SUGGESTS ABANDONING THE MEN WITH CIRCE, AND ODYSSEUS INSISTS ON GETTING THEM BACK. SO WHEN ODYSSEUS WAS WILLING TO SACRIFICE 6 MEN AND DID SO IN SECRET, EUROLYCHUS'S PERCEPTION OF HIS 'BROTHER' WAS SHATTERED. AND THAT'S WHY HE WAS WILLING TO TURN ON HIM. THE MAN LEADING THEM WASNT THE MAN WHO HAD BEEN HIS 'BROTHER'. STOP IT I AM IN AGONY-

Hot take, I love the new albums. Especially the troy saga. Overall I feel the albums have more punch if you will. I definitely do agree that there are songs that aren't the same (warrior of the mind isn't the same at all) the cyclops saga feels so much vivid and the troy saga is just more impactful. I honestly think the voices have matured sm and it makes it better. I do get that they aren't the same, but for me they make the og 2 sm better. (Overall)

Hi epic fans how we feeling

Assigning my friends epic characters with little explanation. (Not totally accurate just for funnies)

J- Odysseus (traumatized simp)

E- Polites (Optimistic animal fan)

Ab- Perimedes (sassy stabby)

Ash- Penelope (chill but struggle bussing)

V- Eurolychus (Dramatic and funny)

Epic theory: we know Jay loves causing pain and having family members step in...Do we think in the Ithaca saga (idk which song) he might include Odysseus's sister and maybe have her ask about HER husband (Eurolychus)???

Morning after listening to the Wisdom Saga and I went back to WotM where Ody sings “ATHENA, BADASS IN THE ARENA” and couldn’t get the heavy emotional part of Love in Paradise where he screams her name again out of my head so now I can’t stop thinking about like

*Heavy emotional moment, somber music, the echoing words of all who have fallen surround Odysseus atop the cliff as he screams out.*

“ATHENA!!!”

*music stops. A sniffle.*

“Badass in the arena… 😔”

“Unmatched witty and queen of the best strategies we’ve seen… 😞”

I really like the line "the Gods will make his past known" when they talk about the fate of Astyanax (Hector's son) in the EPIC musical.

I think it's very self-aware and tells much about the nature of Greek Gods. They know that one day when Astyanax grows up he'll inevitably find out that he isn't actually the son of Odysseus. And if no one answers him about his past he'll asks the Gods and there will be at least one of them who can't say no and tells him the truth.

I can just picture it, young Astyanax standing in a shrine or at the seashore or in his room begging the Gods for an answer and one of them will break and tell him that his birth city was destroyed by the very man he called father.

And it would have been another heart breaking tragic.

Started listening to Epic and I love it! Made a Telemachus design (even though we haven’t actually heard him yet 🥲) Working on the rest of the guys
