Welp.... I've met my quota for confusion today. I dunno.. just read a post and I'm like "we must have read very different books". I don't even know what I just read. But I'm gonna go back to the fanfic I've been working on.

Made me laugh so hard. I think it is supposed to be coats. Take off coats. Imagine being part of the Lan sect and hearing the leader of your night hunt telling you to take your clothes off. This is my favorite scene in the entirety of this show:

The decisiveness of the sheathing swords and the delicate toss of the coats and the elegant spin. Like this was my first real introduction to the Lan, and looking at it now, I don't think it steers one wrong. I do love that in the novel WWX kicks Jingyi so that the possessed arm touches the coat and saves Sizhui that way and spawns the idea to use the coats. But this is good too. I like that it gives Sizhui some ideas of his own here. Like he is a cultivator leading a night hunt, he should be able to think of things like that.
Sizhui watching where 'Mo Xuanyu' went like, "my good radish senses are tingling." He is cute. I love the Juniors so much, in case you hadn't noticed. They are all good kids.
I just wanna talk about the way that Sizhui recognizes that he has heard the song that WWX is playing on a piece of grass. Is CQL WWX just that talented musically? Like I can only make squeaks on grass, and the people I know who are good at it can't really play recognizable tunes? Or is Sizhui just that good at hearing music? Either way I find it astonishing!
Y'all... I am somehow writing good guy Xue Yang. Like... not actually good guy, but a guy who helps get Lan Xichen out of Cloud Recesses with the books during the burning. He's doing it for revenge. Wen Rouhan (for some reason, look this has been stuck in my head for like two days) decides to send Wen Chao to Yueyang for the Yin Iron piece instead of Xue Yang. And that is not okay in Xue Yang's book. But like... he is actively helping the Sunshot Campaign allies at this point. And boy is it weird. Cause he actually kinda likes Lan Xichen? A man who treats him respectfully. Who listens to him and what he has to say? That is his jam. But I am over here shaking my head as I type.
The Crimes

This man isn't going to let those poor juniors face this alone, even if it means doing things that the juniors wouldn't approve of. Because they are Lan sect juniors.
