Clairaudience Development Tip

Clairaudience Development Tip

One of the best tips i learned when developing my clairaudience was listening to music. When listening to music, just pick out the guitar, the drums, the vocals, the fuckin triangle in the back, just pick a sound an isolate it, listening only to that for a while. Then switch to a different sound to isolate.

Sound isolation is a MASSIVE help when developing your clairaudience so you can learn to isolate the sound of your deities/entities speaking to you so you can better hear them.

It works so well, give it a try and see what you think.

*filing nails*

Hey, just thought I would toss this reminder out in the open that witchcraft is not a religion.

Witchcraft is a craft.

It doesn't require any religion.

It's also not a religion by itself.

That's all, folks!

Let the Following be Understood

No one is entitled to your body, except you.

No one is entitled to your time, except you.

No one is entitled to your abilities, except you.

No one is entitled to an explanation of your craft, justifications or to your craft as a whole, except you.

Your personal existence is yours. Feel free to share it but if someone makes you uncomfortable or demands something, understand that it is yours and your personal expression and you are not obligated by any means to need to justify or give parts of yourself to someone who wouldn't give you the same luxury. Don't let entitled people steal your soul, your heart, your being.

Some days my craft is “bath in sunlight and sweet talk local spirits”

Other days my craft is “flip shit and cause mayhem”

Both are valid 😌

Beginner witch tip: You don't need to rush into deity work, much less commit yourself to a deity right away - if ever! The notion that you should is very much a product of cultural Christianity. It's okay to take your time when it comes to deities.

on daily practices...

The easiest way to have a consistent daily practice is simply communication, but on the long term, it's about building a repertoire of everyday charms.

I believe we talk a lot about the importance of divination without giving proper examples of everyday use outside of the more ceremonial sphere. Divination isn't just a tool to communicate with familiars or spirits for your witch endeavors, it's also a tool to sit down at your ancestral altar and chat whenever you want to talk to someone who's already crossed to the Other Side, or even just to receive daily guidance on the most mundane matters from those Spirits that watch over you.

Some witches struggle with daily practice because it seems like everything has to be a Big Ritualistic Thing, when it can (and probably should) be more casual on the daily. It's less likely your daily practice will involve planning a Big Ritual with Big Bad Demons and more likely it'll involve lighting a candle to your folks, a cup of coffe or just a deck of cards.

Big Rituals are important but they do not represent what we do on 90% of days. Daily witchcraft for me looks like simple libations, divination, and small charms and tricks, subtler and simpler than you'd think, but that can also be a challenge for the beginner because it doesn't rely on invoking external powers but rather on your own acquired ability to pull certain strings.

It's not something done overnight, it requires consistency, to build that muscle a little at a time and also experience to build that repertoire of tried and tested everyday charms. But you have to start if you want to get somewhere.
