someone i know tried to tell me that the War Themes™️ in howls moving castle were “undertones” and “not explicit” and i was genuinely dumbfounded. they were explaining it to someone else and said out loud “it’s an undertone because it’s never directly addressed” and they were speaking with so much confidence i started to doubt myself. like ? did i misremember ? but no. i did not.

like. i understand the movie is a bit confusing on your first watch. but this person was saying they had watched the movie hundreds of times and it was one of their favourite movies of all time.

and like. same. but. the war themes are very much an explicit overtone that they do directly address many times. like i have watched this movie hundreds of times and it’s one of my favourites. and i did not miss that they actively and openly discuss the war efforts ?? like even during my first watch when i was very confused ?? i was like ? oh okay there’s a war.

i’m in my last trimester of university (🎉) and i only have to take two papers this tri (🎉)

one of my classes has an essay proposal as an assignment. “this is no big deal,” i think to myself, i’ve done plenty of essay proposals in my time. let me just take a look at the assignment now. several weeks before it’s due.

the sugamama branding from the 2020 haikyuu era erased that he is a teenage boy. surrounded by high energy teenage boys. he’s a freak (affectionate) he’s crazy and fun and chaotic. like what ???

SUGA IS JUST AS CHAOTIC AS TANAKA AND THE OTHERS HE IS JUST BETTER AT HIDING IT

DAICHI LITERALLY PUTS ENNOSHITA IN CHARGE OVER HIM BECAUSE AND I QUOTE "You just encourage them" AND HE'S RIGHT.

Suga screams and yells and chest bumps Tanaka during games, and literally hits the negative thoughts out of his fellow teammates. HE HELPED THEM SNEAK INTO THE GYM FOR THEIR UNAPPROVED 5AM PRACTICE.

The only difference is that he is more put-together and able to keep it together when not actively over-excited.

Suga is just as excitable as the others. Sugamom him all you want but don't let him lose his chaos.
