I Suddenly Have The Urge To Write An In-universe Fic By Someone Who Was At The Weather Station During

I suddenly have the urge to write an in-universe fic by someone who was at the weather station during the attack and just though "yeah, those two are totally dating behind closed doors." And proceeded to tell all of ao3 in the form of the first Weather Station Demon/Pigsy's Noodles Delivery Boy fic, followed by a second one, then a third. They infected three other people online and the numbers only go up from there. The ship gets a following nearly as large as the one we have irl.

Someone claims that the delivery boy is totally in a romantic relationship with the dragon girl and just gets utterly slammed for saying such a thing.

Mei, MK, and Red Son do not talk about this. They all know it's going on, Red Son even reads the him/MK fics sometimes. Mei likes taunting MK with their existence. MK has searched them up once just to make sure they actually exist. All three know the shipping is happening, heck, their parents likely know it's happening. But it never comes up in conversation or during battle banter. They just- don't talk about it.

since I've been making so many citizen memes lately here are the headcanons I came up with for how megapolis/the general public views the plot

pigsy's noodles is the waffle house of megapolis. there are like 2 dozen yin & jin level demons who routinely start shit and pigsy's noodles will stay open through all of them. you only need to be worried about demons when they close early

coincidentally, the pigsy's noodles delivery app will always show the driver heading straight towards danger. there are several conspiracies that the driver is the monkie kid (no one believes them)

the "mayor" actually did assume government office and no one liked him. the editorials in the papers were scathing and he was always in those hideous political cartoons

the jttw fandom discourse was INSANE after the monkie kid appeared. everything is rpf now. everyone on twitter is getting cancelled. new fans who joined because of mk and dbk are getting dragged through the mud. november 5th of megapolis fr

mk has a sizeable following of hardcore fans from edits of shitty news footage. same with dbk. these groups duke it out online daily

mei's streams are legendary for always capturing current events (especially with lbd because you bet the mayor was doing media coverups)

red son is a local cryptid. the delivery kid subreddit has so many theories about why they hang out. weather station demon/pigsy's noodles delivery kid has 6 fics on ao3 for some reason

Absolutely my friend! Here you go!

All Horror could hear were his own sharp, labored breaths. How did he even get into this mess? Today was supposed to be normal, his one normal day. A break, dare he say. But no. Today was everything but.

Today he was somewhere, he couldn't tell you where. It was dark and cold, not unlike the Underground he once lived in. And Horror had been running. He had stopped once or twice, but those were close calls he would like to not repeat.

Should his pursuer catch up with him, well, Horror knew exactly the future that awaited him. So he forced his legs to keep moving. Despite the disadvantage of not knowing the terrain, he had done good so far. Not good enough, but at least he hadn't been caught.

The ill-fated skeleton had managed to get himself to Waterfall. That was good. Water had no memory, unlike the snow that marked a clear outline of just where Horror was running. But he should be safe for now. The land before him wasn't entirely unfamiliar, faint whispers of memories reminded him of the bench he visited rather frequently and once found a quiche under. The bench wasn't easy to get to... Horror inspected the bridge flower buds that sat nearby. He could probably use them to get to a hiding spot...

The hole-headed skeleton scooped up the four buds and rather than heading to the bench, turned in the exact opposite direction, the one that would take him deeper into Waterfall. There was a waterfall, pun fully intended, covering the back wall of the cavern. It would be the perfect place to hide behind. The buds were dropped into the water, making their little bridge. And Horror crossed. He tugged his hoodie over his skull, hoping to protect his injury from the downpour of water but it didn't do nearly enough. The trip under the very cold river mixed with the brutal slamming of said river into his skull left him feeling dizzy. But at least he was safe.

The only thing he could hear was the rushing water and his soft breath of relief. He could do this. All he had to do was outlast his hunter. And nobody would think to look back here, not even-

Horror fell completely still as he felt a hand rest on his shoulder. He didn't turn, didn't say anything, he just stood, frozen.

"Found you" A voice whispered. "I do hope you remember the rules," Horror's marrow ran cold. He did. He wished he didn't. The cornered skeleton forced himself to speak.

"W-what do you want?" He managed to get out.

"Two months of my chores, all on you." Horror bit back a growl. He turned around and met face-to-face with the cocky, smug bastard himself.

"Not fair,"

"Ah ah ah my feisty friend, you know what you agreed to~" The skeleton before Horror had no eyelights, but if he did, they would be twinkling with joy and mischief.

"You can't just shirk your chores onto me every time you leave them piling up!" Horror spat. Killer held a hand over his chest and gave an offended gasp.

"Why I never! How could you accuse me of such a thing,"

"He's not wrong," Cross said after he teleported himself into the tiny space behind the waterfall. "If you two are done though, I would like to get heading back. Boss isn't going to be happy that we snuck out to do this of all things,"

"Cross, you can't let him do this!" Horror whined out. The guard leveled him with a look.

"I'm not the one who agreed to this. Dust warned you about this very thing. It doesn't matter how close your Undergrounds looked, you are quite literally playing on his field." Cross opened a portal right back to the palace they snuck out of nearly an hour before. "C'mon, we have to-"

"And where, exactly, have you all been?"

You can also get it on a Roku! Which I think is super neat! I have prime video, which is ad free, so I tend to watch the first three seasons on there, but during my rewatches of S4 and the following special, I turn to HappyKids. The ads are never long. It's also how I watched S3 when prime video was out for my blood.

If you haven't watched the special yet, I totally recommend heading over to HappyKids and binging it immediately.

Also, as a sidenote, when first watching S4, the ads were so similar to those ads you got on PBS kids, Qubo, and other such tv channels I was hit with sudden nostalgia.

to be honest the fact that the HappyKids app is completely free and yet it's still a legal way to watch and support Monkie Kid is absolutely wild, the chances of shows getting that kind of thing are so astronomically low that the only other example of it I know of are companies putting episode of their show free to watch on youtube.

If you're in a country where you can download the HappyKids app, do it, and watch Monkie Kid, especially the new special on it (when it comes out). Do it as many times as you can, in fact. Act like it's the only way we'll get the rest of the story (because, with so many shows getting cancelled or screwed over lately, it very well might be).

It's not even like it's hard to watch it though. Back before S3 was out, I watched the first special and season on prime video, 'cause I have that. But you had to pay to watch the second season. Not anymore, but it was off limits until well after S3. And Revenge of the Spider Queen wasn't even on there. So I ended up watching it on a google drive folder I found on reddit.

It was a similar situation with S3 and the following special.

But S4? Oh, oh. I had to force myself to stay off of social media just to not get spoilers because I like watching the dub. So I knew it was out, and was also very excited when it eventually came out in English. But how to find it? I eventually searched the show on my roku and downloaded Happykids, where I watched all S4 and the special.

I also have an unlisted playlist of all the episodes on youtube. I don't know where it came from or why I have it saved, but it's there. I don't even need it considering I have better ways to view the show. And it only popped up on my phone after I watched everything. So-
