Baby Gordon happily peeps his whistle.

Gordon: I can’t help but be proud of her as my mate. She absolutely adores him.

Gordon becomes visibly more nervous.

Gordon: She… I discovered recently that she spoke to the Ramsfields about adopting a baby engine. Not your little Gordon, he’s yours and she would never dream to take yours away. But, you’re a father, Sir. Was Lady Hatt ever more eager or interested in children? It’s like with this new possibility, Camille is all about spending time with your baby and wanting to have her own. I don’t know what to do.

Gordon: *standing at the door of Sir Topham Hatt’s office at Knapford and finally knocks a bit hesitantly* …. Maybe I shouldn’t… *turns and scratches at his hair in frustration*. Why do things always have to be so complicated??

Just then Sir Topham Hatt opens the door. He is surprised to see Gordon.

STH: Oh, Gordon! I wasn't expecting to run into you. Is there something you need?

Camille: What is the process? I mean, do you think they would consider engines from other worlds? *takes a deep breath with a laugh* I mean, they don’t grow up I know, but it’s a very unique and lovely thing to have a family as an engine. It’s amazing that something like this can happen. Sorry, I’m rambling.

Camille: This question is more for the Ramsfield’s then anything. Do baby engines get adopted by other engines? Is that a thing? A-asking for a friend.

@theyellowroseofsodor Mrs. Ramsfield: Yes, on some of the railways my husband and I have visited, there have been engines who have adopted baby engines. Little Tykes amusement park has a program similar to Big Brothers, Big Sisters where the bigger engines will help staff look after the little ones.
