Ooh, interesting! I do personally headcanon Balan and Lance being able to use hypnosis, but Lance uses it often.

"Balan, you said you had this impressive trick that you wish to show me?" Bruce asked as he entered into the room that the maestro was in. Balan had prepared one of the chairs for the man to sit in.

"Indeed, I do," Balan replied. "Sit in this chair and I will gladly show you." He motioned for Bruce to have a seat. The older gentleman sat down, curious to know what Balan was about to do.

"I will perform a trick that Lance and I can do," Balan said. "This trick allows me to hypnotize Visitors like you. Though I seldom use this as I usually have no need, Lance is more likely to use it for an evil deed."

"I didn't know you could hypnotize people," Bruce admitted. "But I guess it wouldn't hurt to try this trick out. I trust you, Balan." He sat perfectly still in the chair.

Balan cracked his knuckles and took a deep breath. His eyes suddenly glowed yellow and pressed a finger on Bruce's forehead. The older gentleman closed For some reason, Bruce found himself unable to think for himself. He felt the odd need to…obey Balan's every order.

Balan snapped his fingers. Bruce opened his eyes. But instead of blue, they were now yellow. "In this state, a person would obey everything I command," Balan said. "The only time I do this is when I truly need an extra hand." He snapped his fingers again, causing Bruce to come back to his senses.

"I had no idea that being hypnotized was…strange," Bruce said to Balan. "I'm not comfortable with being controlled."

"I won't hypnotize you again," Balan said. "Be warned that Lance will do this to either you or a friend."

Bruce nodded before he left. There was a part of him that warned him to stay away from Lance.
