moon jongup used to be called things like “useless” and “ugly” and “untalented” (lots of ‘u’s) but here’s 10 ways he makes the people that said that shit look dumb: 

jongup now gets just as many lines as youngjae and daehyun do

jongup has had his solo featured on a full-length album, and also had solo promotions

jongup now choreographs both for himself and for the entire group alongside junhong

jongup has proven that he can rap many times now (and this is my personal favourite)

jongup writes his own lyrics and also composes some of his songs too… bitch do you know how hard composition is? hats off to that

jongup has his own clothing line with his friend squad and their clothes are stylish as heeeeell

jongup helps out trainees and rookies and is very involved with helping trcng

jongup is highly recognized for his visuals now and has more than once been considered as one of the sexiest men alive, and he’s usually the one non-fans notice the most for visuals

jongup is now extremely confident and when he gets the opportunity he encourages his fans to have the same confidence and to not worry so much about meeting beauty standards

jongup never tries hard to be inspirational or woke, he just is. like he’s just this kid that likes anime and dancing and he took that and turned it into an extreme repertoire of talents and by staying humble he just is inspirational without having to prove it

actually if you tally these up and kinda split them into categories, jongup’s not even a triple threat. he’s an octuple threat.

1. Wildflower -Park Hyo Shin

Park Hyo Shin is a legend of course. This song is so beautiful and his vocals are amazing as always. I actually first heard this song from IMFACT’s Park Jeup singing it on I Can See Your Voice S4 (which was such a beautiful cover too), and I have loved it ever since.

2. School Of Tears -BTS (RM, Suga, Jin)

One of BTS’ most underrated songs, I know so many ARMYs who have never even heard of it. If you haven’t already, you should definitely check it out on YouTube. I found it a couple years back when I was stalking through their YouTube (lol), and have listened to it often since then. The lyrics are so deep and relatable, I honestly love everything about it. Namjoon, Yoongi, and Jin did an amazing job.

3. I Need Somebody -Day6

My favourite Day6 song, definitely. I love the lyrics, and the whole song has such an emotional vibe that I love. Honestly when I listen to it sometimes I almost shed some tears just ‘cause I feel like I can relate so hard to it even if I can’t always understand the lyrics without reading the translation. Definitely one of my top kpop songs.

4. Sorry -The Rose

I love The Rose so damn much okay. I really love all their songs, but Sorry tops the others for me. I’m not sure what it is really, but it just sounds so beautiful and I could honestly listen to it on repeat for hours straight, which I can’t say for a lot of songs. Also, the vocals are outstanding as always. The Rose never disappoints me.

5. Colours -Day6

I’m Day6 trash okay :) Seriously though, this is probably my favourite song of theirs after I Need Somebody. I think with this one, it’s mainly the lyrics that got me. I liked the song at first, but after I read the lyrics translation I fell in love with it. Also, once again, the vocals. Good vocals in a song always get me.

6. Rainy Day -ToppDogg (now XENO-T)

Okay I need a moment :’| Right, this song always gets me so emotional. I’m literally physically incapable of keeping a straight face while listening to it, the whole way through I just smile like a dork while tears form in my eyes. I remember when the MV came out, I’d been a ToppKlass for a while and my bias, Jenissi, had just left the group so I remember watching it the first few times and being pretty sad about it. Now I watch it, remembering when all the ot9 (+Jenissi ot10) members were together and get all emotional (I became a stan at ot10), but don’t get me wrong, I love XENO-T! Aside from all that, the song itself is beautiful.

7. The Last -Agust D

His whole mixtape was amazing, but this song really stood out to me the most. Yoongi obviously really put a lot into the mixtape, and in this particular song I can really feel the emotion as if he was stood rapping right next to me (which would be unreal lmao). He really opened up with the lyrics, and they’re amazing. Of course, his rapping is fantastic as always in it too.

8. Wake Me Up -B.A.P

By far my favourite B.A.P comeback, and on the lyrics front, it’s my favourite song of theirs too. Idk if you can tell by now, but the lyrics in a song really mean a lot to me when picking favourites. The lyrics are so deep and really reflect our society today. B.A.P really send some of the best messages in their songs, Bang Yongguk is indeed a genius.

9. Stigma -BTS’ V

I’ve always seen people saying that Taehyung can’t actually sing and that growling in songs is all he’s good for, but Stigma really proves them wrong. It shows his wide vocal range, and how beautiful his singing voice really is. Not to mention, the lyrics are also really good. Sometimes I feel like he sang this to prove people wrong, and good on him.

10. Dystopia -B.A.P

Yes, more B.A.P. Dystopia is very different from other kpop songs (just listen to it, you’ll instantly know what I mean lol), and I’ve always loved that style/genre of music as it is anyway (I listen to a broad range of genres). It’s heavy, which compliments the lyrics nicely. It’s from the same mini-album as Wake Me Up, Rose, which was a masterpiece even with only three songs. The lyrics are spot on and I love the overall song, including the rapping and vocals.

-There’s my top 10 kpop songs guys :) It was honestly hard to narrow it down to just 10 but I thought that these must be the ones that I’ve listened to the most frequently. If you’d like me to do one of these with songs outside of kpop, let me know!

Sungjin scenario: Long Day

You were making dinner as your boyfriend, Sungjin, walked through the door. He lay down his things and made his way over to you, hugging you from behind to observe what you were doing.

“Do you want any help?” He asked, sounding more tired than usual.

“No thanks, it’s almost done. Had a rough day?”

“You can tell?”

“Of course I can tell.” You turned around, returning his hug. “Wanna tell me about it?” You looked up at him.

You proceeded to plate the food as Sungjin went on about his day. He seemed so exhausted, and you hated seeing him this way. The two of you sat to eat and Sungjin soon finished talking about his day to ask about yours and to thank you for cooking.

“I’ll do the dishes, since I couldn’t help you cook.” Sungjin offered as the both of you finished eating.

“No it’s fine, I want you to relax.” You stood up to take the plates, and he stood with you.

“Thank you Y/N, I love you.” He said as he placed a kiss on your forehead. “I’ll cook and do the dishes tomorrow.”

“I love you too Sungjin. Now go and get comfy, we can watch a movie.”

He sat down and shortly after, you joined him. You cuddled up to him and put on a movie. Usually you were the first one to fall asleep while you cuddled, but this time you felt Sungjin’s head dropping slightly more towards you, and realised that he was asleep this time, only 15 minutes into the film.

“Wow, he must’ve been really tired. I wish he didn’t work so hard and become like this.” You thought to yourself.

You turned the TV off and woke Sungjin gently.

“Let’s go to bed.”

They may be *idols*. But they are human too.

They will get annoyed. They will get angry. They will say stupid things. They will fight. They will make mistakes. Which is OK. They will have crushes. They will date. They will get married. Which is OK. They will get sad. They will need/want alone time. They can’t be *happy* all the time. Which is OK.

They treat us like family. We should do the same. We should forgive, support, understand, and love.
