Gojo looks like he tried to drown himself in the shower. 

If you hadn’t just mopped the floor, you might be tempted to give in and beckon him over to cuddle. As it is, your annoyance is only mildly tempered by how adorable he is. You suspect this was his plan all along. 

“Go dry your hair,” you tell him coldly, hardly even giving him a glance after his first step into the room. 

He pouts, which you were expecting. He should really learn some new tricks at this point. You make a shooing gesture at him to drive home the point. 

Instead, he clambers down next to your feet, all six feet and two inches of him compressed down to fit his head into your lap. Gojo’s so lanky it gives you the impression of a Jenga tower collapsing in on itself to watch him get on his knees. 

“But you’re mad at me,” he whines. Chilly droplets are seeping into your thighs. 

“I’ll be madder if you keep getting my pants wet. Go on, you’ll catch a cold.” 

“I deserve it.” 

“Gojo.” 

You say it as if you’re short of patience, when really, you’re far from it. You’re enjoying this way too much. 

He turns his head so he can look up at you. His hair falls into his eyes, making him look like a sad, wet puppy, shivering at your feet for mercy. It’s an act, of course. 

He’s the strongest man in the world. Still, you feel your heart melting as you would for any poor abandoned creature. You brush his bangs out of his face, trying to hold onto your weakening resolve. 

He knows he’s got you. It’s just a matter of time. 

“I can’t live with myself,” he says. “If you’re going to be mad at me, you should just kill me. It would be easier-“ 

“Don’t be dramatic,” you say, but that’s when he strikes the killing blow. 

He doesn’t say anything. Instead, he just looks at you with eyes that are suspiciously shiny, his pretty pink lips in a soft frown. You sigh and put the book you were trying to read down. 

“Go get the hairdryer.” 

Gojo perks up immediately. You stay on the sofa. He sits on the ground between your legs as you run your hands through his hair, moving section by section. It fluffs up as hot air moves over it. 

“Are you still mad?” 

“Want to take a guess?” 

He turns around so fast he almost hits himself in the face with the hairdryer in your hand. 

“I’ll never do it again, I swear.” 

“You swear?” You’re teasing. 

Gojo places one hand over his heart and raises the other like he’s making a pledge. You’re the only nation he’d ever devote himself to, anyway. “You know my motto is happy wife, happy life.” 

“I don’t know, actually.” You laugh. “Did you just come up with that?” 

“Now you’re just being mean,” he says. 

“I’m glad you picked up on it,” you say dryly. 

You like him pathetic. It appeals to your worst nature, the one that kind of wants to pinch him just to see him cry. You don’t know when you developed such feelings, and you’re certainly not sadistic towards anyone else, but Gojo just provokes you. It’s what he does. He’s good at being annoying. 

But you love that part of him, just as much as you love the part of him that can’t live without your attention. 

“You really learned your lesson?” You ask. “You won’t do it again?” 

“And go through this again? You kidding?” 

You pinch his cheek in annoyance, but he just laughs and wraps his arms around you, ignoring the way you try to wriggle away. 

“Your hair isn’t dry yet!”

“Doesn’t matter,” he says, rubbing his cheek against yours. His shampoo smells good. “Happy husband, happy wife.” 

He knows you too well for you to disagree. 

Gojo loves to make you laugh

He would do absolutely anything to hear you giggle.

His impressions are terrible, but that doesn't matter to you. He loves to mock Geto the moment he turns his back, he's laughing more than you are when you try to shush him as Geto turns around, a scowl on his face.

He will go on crazy long, insane rants about his day. It's almost funnier when he follows you into the bathroom to finish the story.

If would ever open your eyes when you're laughing at something he said, you would see the softest, most adoring grin on his face, almost as if he was glowing.

He used to get embarrassed when he did something stupid and he turned out making a fool of himself. But now when he hears you laugh at him in that admiring and loving way, he can't help but laugh it off himself.

He immediately knows if you've had a bad day, and he has a method to making that all go away.

He catches you in a blanket and all but drags you over to the couch where he puts on your favorite show, does his best impressions of all the characters, and makes witty comments about everything until that beautiful smile he adores so much comes back to your face.

megumi fushiguro thinks gojo satoru is an idiot.

when he met this weird white-haired guy, he looked creepy while wiggling his long ass fingers. he also looked funny with those big, circular glasses.

i can’t wait to get away from this guy, he thought to himself at that time.

he thinks gojo is childish, weird, and an idiot, but he looks completely different when he meets you.

how can he have this kind of woman? he questions himself as he stares at you.

you’re pretty, very pretty. you are also kind. you also have a great sense of humor. being able to insult gojo is a plus for him. you didn’t also bat your eyelashes or blush like a schoolgirl when you hug him. women tend to squeal whenever they see him and it hurts his ears.

“well, you’re definitely the type of man that my mom warned me about. those guys who would entice you with candies just to get in a van? yup, that’s you.”

before he can think, he finds himself snickering at your response. megumi finds a soft smile when gojo whines.

he’s soon-to-be-guardian (ew) finally acknowledges him as if he has forgetten he’s there in the first place.

probably because all he sees is his girlfriend, megumi realizes.

“this is megumi. i’ve brought him from an auction.”

you two banter like an old married couple with smiles, giggles, and lovesick glances in between.

he can’t believe gojo can act like that. like a smitten fool who would do anything for you. a man who will show you his vulnerable and soft side. the kind of love that conquers everything.

love.

he does not have any opinion about that four letter word. how can he when he never experienced it? he is going to be sold off to his clan by his father until gojo satoru intervenes. is that how his father loves someone? by sending your children to the lion’s den? all he has is tsumiki.

and when he watches the two of you vow an almost proposal and satoru wanting to be on his knees for you, declaring you as his one and only; his forever girl, his wife. then he understands that—

oh. so this is what love looks like. this is what love feels like. this is what love sounds like.

completely in awe of the person you’re in love with that you forget the world surrounding you and focus on the object of your desires, grinning like a sunshine, bright eyes filled with joy and his name carved into your heart because you are his and he is yours forever and ever and—

megumi wants to have that kind of love.

ahh gosh thank you!! this warms my heart so much you have no idea, and i got really excited when i saw you mentioned teen!toji because my mind wanders back to that time of his life. like when it was less violent and before him becoming the sorcerer killer. i actually don't have a solid story idea except just little moments of him falling for someone. so i can share some hcs about him in that regard 🤍

Teen!Toji, who looks forward to seeing you at what is now known as "our spot" for lunch twice a week after his morning training. Sometimes you're there early and other times he's waiting for you on the bench overlooking the verdant forest. He doesn't know how to feel when you bring him sweet treats like dango, taiyaki, melon pan because he's never tasted them before but he's grateful to you. There's a lot that he doesn't know and hasn't seen and you're the first person to change that.

Teen!Toji, who's a little surprised when he lets himself make promises to you and he actually keeps his word. When you notice the bags under his eyes, "Try to sleep earlier tonight, okay?" When you know it's flu season and he won't stop training even feeling under the weather, you supply him herbal medicine and honey to help with the bitterness, "Make sure you take them, I'll know if you don't." He's never been cared for like this and he likes that someone is looking out for him.

Teen!Toji, who wants to spend more time with you but it'll become suspicious if he doesn't return back to the estate on time. He still has duties and responsibilities he must uphold and he doesn't want members of the Hei or his terrible cousins sticking their nose where they don't belong and give him trouble. But when he's not with you for the remainder of the day, he feels a part of him is missing that evening and he hates the facade he's forced to maintain in front of them.

Teen!Toji, who dreams about running away with you and starting a new life somewhere far away and live in the countryside village where no one knows your names. He's aware that it's a foolish thought and he can't truly escape the shackles of the Zenin clan so he always keeps it to himself. But if you were the one to propose such an idea, he'd agree in a heartbeat because as long as you have each other he can come up with counter-attacks to any difficulties and problems that stand in the way.

iwaizumi wishes the effect you had on him wasn’t so maddeningly obvious.

it would have been one thing if only he knew, or if everyone but you knew—he could deal with the knowing looks and playful nudges from his friends every time he mentioned your name in passing. but unfortunately for him, you were just as aware as the rest of the world that iwaizumi hajime had a soft spot for you and only you.

this was true from the moment you met and he stuttered while introducing himself, to the first date where he let the door slam his fingers at the sound of your laugh, to right now as he forced himself not to look at your pleading face. he knew—the both of you knew if he did, there was only one possible outcome.

“hajime.” your voice calls from the other side of the bed.

hajime tenses slightly before replying with as level a voice as he can muster, “babe.”

“just once? please?”

he lets out a breath. “this won’t work on me.”

“are you sure?”

“yes.” liar.

“liar,” you echo his thought, amusement clear in your voice.

hajime almost laughs.

the mattress dips behind him, and the blanket is loud in your otherwise quiet bedroom as you shift closer. “are you sure?”

this time you’re only met with silence.

your boyfriend was a terrible liar around you, and no response was the easy way out.

“come on, haji,” you drawl, moving even closer. hajime can feel the warmth of your breath against his neck, and watches as your hands come to hold him from behind. they smooth the folds of his shirt and one runs up and down his side, pulling him even closer into your chest. his breath hitches when you squeeze his waist.

it’s when you press your lips to the nape of his neck and plant a soft kiss that he involuntarily groans, smushing his face into the pillow.

“pretty please?” you teasingly smile, and he can feel it—imagine it and the look in your eyes as if you were facing him instead. “i promise i won’t ask again.”

“now who’s the liar?” he scoffs and finally turns to look at you.

you snicker and press your lips together, fighting back a smile. getting him to turn around was 3/4 of the battle. “i don’t know what you’re talking about?”

"yes you do—babe, your hands are cold—" he laughs despite himself when you sneak your hands under his shirt. "god, okay, okay, okay."

your hands freeze where they are, and there’s an accomplished gleam in your eyes that he’s come to know well. “yeah, yeah, just this one time. now get your hands off and stop looking at me like that already—”

“‘m not looking at you any differently—”

“yes you are.”

“i’m looking at you with the same amount of innocence as always.”

“shush.” he huffs before pulling your head under his chin. he can feel your laughter against his skin, and when your hands come back to wrap around him again—over his shirt—he melts into your touch. 

“you’re so annoying,” hajime tells you, not an ounce of annoyance in his voice, but with an almost embarrassing amount of softness.

“i won’t ask again.”

“mhm.”

“promise.”

he squeezes your hip. “liar.” you might as well have put two crossed fingers in front of his face. but you kiss his collarbone, and he can't be bothered to complain again when you reply, “i know.”
