Welcome to my new series: Cherik fanfictions that I read and can't stop thinking about.

The first fanfiction, I'd like to present, is "I know who you pretend I am" by Mx_Zemo (53,899 words/15 chapters), which I read in one night from 1 am to 7 am. I didn't sleep more than 2 hours but I have no regrets, because I love this story.

It's slowburn and there are angsty parts, but it is worth it.

The story plays during Days of Future Past but instead of Erik being in prison, he already has his family. Charles visits them because, like in the movies, they want his help. They both are so not over each other, with the diffrence, that Charles is way more aware of his feelings and Erik realises slowly how he feels for Charles, but there is this little problem of him having a wife and a kid.

I don't want to give spoilers, so you have to read it, to know more.

I think it's beautifully written and some scenes will probably never leave my head. Let me know, if enjoyed the story. I would love to talk about it, because I fucking love it.

the beach break up is objectively funny in the sense that erik puts his heart on the line ‘I want you by my side. we want the same thing’ aka we’re in love and want to be together just for charles, the pragmatist thinking of mutant/human relations, to say ‘no my FRIEND (friendzone much?) we do not’, rejecting erik. then erik immediately gets framed for assassinating jfk and put in jail, w only the thought of charles and hank all alone in that mansion together to occupy his time

I love how fic writers never have a clue what Erik's color eyes are.

Is it green? Is it gray? Is it brown? Is it blue? I guess we'll never know.

Charles, not paying attention: What?

Erik: I said if you die, I wont miss you.
