BTS Fic Recommendations

There seems to be a weird divide in this fandom between reader x member and member x member stories, but I’m just here in the middle like “all Bangtan smut is good smut!” A good story is a good story and good writing is good writing. Some of these have no smut at all and some are so filthy that I can’t believe I’m recommending them, but, you know, BTS ruined my life and I have no shame anymore. 

I’ve probably read hundreds of BTS stories by now and these are the ones that I go back to over and over. I tried to pick only one per author, but all of these authors are amazing and you should go check out their whole masterlists. These are the authors that I personally fangirl over and stand in awe of. None of these are particularly similar to mine (eg. they are way better) and none of them are particular similar to each other. These are the fics that, for whatever reason, I couldn’t forget about after I read them.

Warning: Some of these are very explicit, so use caution. Anything marked with an M is definitely NSFW.

same damn hunger (M) by marienadine - Yoongi X Hoseok - I am weak for Yoonseok and this fic does an amazing job capturing the push and pull of their relationship. I think this might be my favorite fictional Yoongi I’ve yet read, striving so hard to be tough, but secretly and vulnerable softie. 

Dig Deep (M) by @johobi - Yoongi X Reader - Tentacle kink is not in my usual list of things I am interested in, but this was so enjoyable and weird and sexy and compelling that I actually sat in my car for 15 minutes not driving anywhere just so I could finish it. I love the level of world building in this tentacle porn. There are real characters and backstory and whole alien species with foreign biology. It is awesome. And the ending is so surprisingly sweet. I love how Jo kept all the things that can be sexy about this genre but made it all consensual and fun.

Maid For You (m)

The frilly skirt you wore rode up the back of your thighs as you stretched to reach a difficult spot beneath Jeongguk’s bed.

Your final perusal of his room after your thorough vacuuming and dusting had left you satisfied and you’d just started to make his bed, narrowly restraining yourself from face planting on the thousand threadcount Egyptian cotton sheets, when a gleam from the back of the headboard had caught your eye.

Now you grunted in exertion, extending your arm as far as it would go while channelling Elastigirl from The Incredibles. Your fingertips barely kissed the cool surface of the mysterious shiny thing residing beneath the maknae’s bed.

Being Bangtan’s dorm maid, this certainly wasn’t the first time you were contorting into weird positions to keep their humble abode spic-n-span. You had lost count how many times you had found rotting cheetos behind Namjoon’s work desk or condom wrappers shoved into weird places in Yoongi and Jin’s room. After finding guitar picks inside the toothbrush mug in Taehyung and Namjoon’s bathroom you’d stopped asking questions.

Not that anybody was there to answer for themselves anyway. The boys had never seen you in person, what with you working your magic only on weekdays and only when they were out and about. You had received specific instructions from the company to endeavour to avoid running into them. Emphasis on endeavour. Apparently, good cleaners work in silence and anonymity.

Screaming.

One of the most notable things about working with young children, come noon, was the screaming. You watched from a window in the classroom that belonged to the third grade teacher, Jung Hoseok, as young children ran about on the playground outside. Glee painted their faces pink, with bright smiles and peals of laughter echoing into the air that filled your chest with a sense of peace and joy. Lunchtime was truly a sight to behold at Riverhill State Primary School. Games of tag and hide and seek ran rampant across the field and metal playground. The swings, a highly coveted item, were never without a customer wriggling their eager behind onto the seat and swinging their legs wildly until they finally gained enough momentum to swing higher, and higher, and higher. The happiness of the children was clear for all that happened to pass, but still, the most notable thing about lunchtime, was the screaming.

Even so, you found your attention wrapped up in something else entirely. Not even the loud, piercing shriek of one kid, Lee Minhyuk, as he squealed and darted away from his friend, Lee Changkyun, in one of the wildest games of tag the playground had ever seen, could tear you from your reverie. The subject of your fixation?

Kim Namjoon.

Drunken Drabble - Hoseok (M)

Warnings: Heavy derogatory language and inappropriate use of inanimate objects (I really don’t advise copying anything you may read here - this is simply a product of mine and @johobi ‘s warped imaginations and too much southen comfort on my part)

“You want me to do what?!”

One hand stuffed under your shirt, Jung Hoseok doesn’t even bother to look up from where he’s been sucking pink and purple blossoms into the curve of your neck in order to reply.  

“You heard me, princess-“

Princess?  If anyone acts like royalty around here then it’s your boyfriend of the last six months rather than you.  Born with a silver spoon planted firmly in his mouth, Hoseok has never had to ask twice for anything in his entire life; not the designer belt he’s wearing nor the brand new car you’re sat in, freshly valeted and smelling of pine.  

“-If you want fucking tonight then it’s this or nothing.”  

It’s funny, really; in isolation, Hoseok’s smile is one of the brightest - one of the most angelic - that you’ve ever seen, and yet all it takes is the addition of an extra little something to start sparkling in his eyes to turn him into a creature far more likely to have risen from hell than fallen from the sky.  One of those looks from him is all it takes to have you weak at the knees and far more subservient than you would ever profess to be, and god, do you both hate and love him for it.

Misconceptions

OC x Roomate!Hoseok  Length: 3.7k of grease and fluff Recommended OST: (x)  (a/n): My writer’s block is ‘a thing’ and this is crusty and rusty but please accept my offering to welcome October… tfw it’s already 2am so it’s already the second. So yes I am back, kinda, I’m trying (T.T) 

Summary: In which your roommate bails out on you last minute and you’re forced to share an apartment with this gorgeous a f human but, no worries, he’ll never see you that way… right? 

“No, Hyo! What do you mean? You can’t be serious right now.” A slight hiccup seeps into your pleading voice— a telltale sign that your dam of tears is about to collapse at any second.

“Ahh, (y/n) please don’t cry.” Your roommate of two years plead from the thin metallic device currently pressed tightly against your heated cheeks, as if the decreasing distance of the speaker from your ear can reduce the distance between the two of you right now.

“It was a really sudden decisions on my parent’s part. You know how they are.” her raspy voice is soothing but her message is anything but, “I know you can find another roommate! You’re so nice and considerate (y/n) I’m sure there will be people who will live with you for sure.” she reassures you, you can almost see her smile from across the Pacific.

“You better keep in touch you crazy cat lady.” you sob into the phone, the tears inevitably breaking free, trails of starlight falling down your face.

“Of course, where would I be without my loving crybaby of a roommate?” she laughs, somewhere half way across the world and just like a magic spell, a smile curls the edges of your lips upwards because even with the Pacific Ocean in between; you know that she’ll still be your best friend.
