I Have Been Continuing On The Development Of The Little Game I Have Planned. This Time I Spend The Evening

I have been continuing on the development of the little game I have planned. This time I spend the evening with an attempt at a jump animation as well as a look-test for the environment.

I wanted to do a small on-the-side game project and see how many of the things I could do myself. So I started with some animation. It is going to be a 2D sidescroller about a explorer, who can propel herself forward with her “Fling-Thing™” glove and how she has to traverse a ruined city to save a friend.

I recently helped a friend out with a couple of drawings for his talk about puzzle design in games, at Quo Vadis.

This is the last one in the chess piece character design series - the Tower. Because of the move-set of the tower piece I felt that he needed to be very to the point. A no-nonsense wall of brute force. So he ended up resembling a executioner. This series was most of all a challenge I set myself. I feel that often times I don’t see through what I start and this challenge was suppose to show myself that I can actually finish something in my sparetime. So yearh. I feel pretty damn good about myself right now.
