Huh.
Huh.
That same reason is why he's my favorite character. Interesting how different our perspectives are /pos
I 100% read too much into that prologue specifically, but in my opinion he's such an intriguing character.
Still horrible tho.
"He didn't understand why they would want to be on their own, cut off from their protectors."
Oh gee, I don't know Webs. Maybe it could be because you let Kestrel beat them all the time? Or how her and Dune would consistently verbally abuse them? Or how they were never allowed to go outside their whole childhoods? Or wait! Maybe it could be because you all were going to kill Glory.

Honestly, I can see the vision. I can see it far too well.
Okay but Nautilus is described with spiral patterns, and Morrowseer has star patterns that are “curl inwards like a snail shell”, not to mention Nautilus is never shown with a wife, and so I propose:
Nautilus x Morrowseer
Leader of an underground organization and his shady NightWing politician. It could work horribly.
I like to think Dune just didn't care enough to tell anyone about it.
It's so weird that Talons of Peace and Morrowseer didn't notice that Sunny was a hybrid. She literally looks like a golden nightwing with a sail. Okay, maybe most dragons have never seen a nightwings, but Dune spent most of his life around sandwings, and he would have definitely figured out that Sunny was a hybrid, since her build and face are nothing like a sandwing. I think Dune knew Sunny was a hybrid back then, and he probably even knew about Stonemover but kept quiet about it.
Just remembering the fact that he could've died, been replaced by Ochre in arc 2, and my life would've been a lot happier with that outcome.
Something that confuses me is . . . I don't think anyone else really acknowledges how different (for lack of a better word) Webs is in the book 2 prologue. Like, ??? I'm not saying it's a bad thing but HUH?????
He's so much more of an asshole it's insane. Like I actually kinda wish that that was how he was most of the time. It would've been much more interesting.
But, yeah, book 2 prologue was crazy. Also the whole "Nautilus Trying To Brutally Murder Webs" thing, but, that's a whole different can of worms.
I mean. . .
I wouldn't call him a terrible dad.
He's really just a *loser* , honestly. Imeanhedidattemptmurderthatonetimebutyouknowwhatever.

Nautilus. Another terrible dad.
I'm drinking iced coffee & giggiling rn. This thread is funny.
