a little fma comic thing I did to practice comics and to just give writing the bros a go :)

Today I visited Ao3 and opened my bookmarks to see something horrible...

On the very top was a bookmark I had made with the note "can't wait to read" But above those words was one simple word "DELETED."

I missed my chance. And now I am going through the five stages of grief.

I wish that writers knew how awful it is to a reader to search endlessly for a fic that they deleted... Maybe It's not your favourite, but it very well might be someone else's... Please stop hurting us. Fics are food not fri-- well, that wasn't quite right, but it's two in the morning, you know what I mean.

Happy late midsummer! I was supposed to post this yesterday, when midsummer actually took place, but drawing this took longer than expected 🤓

I'm slowly getting the hang of Medibang, but I kind of miss the simplicity and general overlay of ibisPaint 😝

Anyway, take some more Edward Elric art. I'm not all that pleased with the outcome, but even my mistakes are a step toward improving. Hope you all have a pleasant summer 🙌 (or winter if you're in the Southern Hemisphere)

I have been a bad father and haven’t updated this fic in a while (life is turmoil) so as a peace offering please have this art I made of my Cross and Omega AU fic Covenant of the Damned. I threw this together to get warmed up as I have a big bang piece to finish and hopefully more projects in the future!

XD My mind immediately goes to a scene I wrote a million years ago... The fic did start out as a wholesome fluff fic, but my bones crave so much more.

Roy wrapped his arms around Edward, squeezing tightly enough that Edward had no way to escape. "Don't fight me. You need a hug. We got the guy. No one's going to kill you. I told you you could trust me. I'm not going to let you get killed." Roy stroked Ed's hair making him stiffen at the strange soft behaviour. Was this what happened when you had someone who cared that you came home safe just because they wanted to and not because they were family.

Edward wanted to believe him that it was all fine now, but he was scared. He'd been threatened. She'd wanted his blood and he had this sinking feeling it wasn’t over yet. She'd done it all to toy with him, and it had worked. She was in his head. He was so tired, though. He wanted to feel safe. Everyone wanted the chance to feel safe.

Edward let his head flopped against Mustang’s chest. His shoulders shook as he tried to keep in the sobs. He would allow the hug in a fleeting moment of weakness, but he couldn't let out the tears. It would never come to an end.

"He can't get you where he's going. And he won't ever get a chance to hurt another person again. I wont let him hurt you." Mustang kissed the crown of Edward’s head.

Ed was frozen. He hadn't even processed the kiss. "He can't get you where he's going... he won't... won't let him..." His head snapped up, cracking against Mustang’s jaw.

"Oh, God! Edward! What's--"

"But Mustang she was a wo--"

The gunshot was a lot louder than what Edward had to say.
