Lance would scratch his chin at that question- it was just a weeks provisions that they had on them and the tents were for if they couldn't make it to the next town in time. He'd look to her quizzically. "What would you prefer?" He was open to suggestions as they started their journey, it was better to be overly prepared than under prepared; as his father told him.

Maybe one tent could work? But he didn't want to overstep his boundaries and make her sleep in a small tent, it was a contingency if they got lost on the road or were short making it to them.

She asked him to hold on, coming back after a while- she produced a cane, a wooden, one- she must of stopped floating every now and then, so she could keep herself exercised, made sense. You wouldn't want them to atrophied, its why he didn't always keep flying on Falcor. So he didn't skip out on keeping himself healthy and ready. Putting a firm grip on his sword he'd nod to her, leaving one of the tents behind, but keeping the extra sleeping bag in the event he needed to sleep outside the tent.

"Let us go." And off then went, him on a journey outside his world along with new companions.

“I think they would enjoy that. You two share similar backgrounds.” A nod. So did she in a way. Sothis didn’t entirely partake in the whole mercenary aspect, she traveled with them throughout all of Fodlan. It was a great learning experience, something she wouldn’t mind going through again. Even if some living situations were not up to her standards.. well, the group was her family as well. Her first found family, in a way.

Her blush deepened when her hand was taken and kissed. Truly what a gentleman! He was raised right. His parents did a splendid job! If they were to start a relationship? She didn’t mind at all. She liked Lance already. A great spirit, a good personality. So wondered if he was someone to truly rely one. He seemed as such but didn’t want to fully assume. “I would not mind,” she murmured. She did jump right into things, regardless what it was. Just how she functioned.

The greenette didn’t linger too long with her children, however much she wanted to. The three mercenaries hadn’t been here too long, her reunion with her children and grandchild was short and sweet but this was not a permanent goodbye. She’ll be back. Just.. at an unknown time. So turned back to Lance, and once their gathered materials are in hand, she peered up at him. “Do we need all of this? My earlier travels we didn’t have nearly as much but a larger group. You often spend time away from home? Or, ah, your tower?” Yes they were traveling and should be prepared but.. hm.

There’s a pause before they truly set out. Sothis hadn’t been separated from Byleth for over a day, and this trip would be longer than that. Plus, with how her legs had (not) been cooperating.. she told him to wait and dashed towards her room. She came back rather quickly, in hand was a floral embossed walking cane. Just in case.

“Alright, ready.”

"Getting behind me isn't cause I don't respect you as a warrior...but when I'm on the battlefield- I am utterly incapable of holding back." He was called the Vacuian-Demon for a reason.

"With all due respect...I seen plenty die, I wish to not see any potential allies fall again." He didn't care for Atlas, but that didn't mean he wanted the people to die, this was someone's family, friend, ally and he didn't want to bear any bad news. He revved his sword and flames sputtered out as he threw himself to the nearest grimm that he saw.

“I don’t need protecting…” By the gods, she wasn’t some helpless damsel. Nevermind the fact that she’d missed her shot earlier. It was a momentary error.

She sighed, getting up from her kneeling position to stow away her rifle.

“Still, I’ll stick by you if it means we can succeed on this mission.”

He was very candid with his story thus far. "Through alot of forced pain...I rather not disclose that yet. I apologize....it's a painful memory." He'd stay silent for a while, hard to read him from one side of his face. "Semblances can vary from many different forms of stimuli, positive or negative- depending on that you unlock a defensive or offensive one. Other people can unlock them for you, along with your Aura...and some are hereditary, like my family's." that's as much as he'd tell her thus far.

"I'm sorry, I couldn't help listening, but your crest sounds fascinating! I think you're the very first person I heard with an ability like that, and from your cool tail I assume you're from a nation far away, I hope you don't mind, me slowing down to listen." Totally not cause a canon was heavy.

Lance would smile and help. "Yes, my "crest" is something." Best not to tell everyone he's not from another world, who knew what they'd do or who'd hurt them for information.

"It's not rare for constructs, my great great grand uncle was born with a sentient sword- he died a hero taking a horde of monsters himself when the rest of the family were protecting several different nations- it's why not we stay so close to each other. And certain members can summon multiple creatures- it's said to happen every generation- but seems to have skipped ours." He wondered who'd get it, mother probably. His ear would perk up as she asked about his mother and kindly took his hand.

"No, Mother is a strong as stone, Grandfather says. He is right, but she's always been...detached. Hyper focused on protecting and running Vacuo. She rarely goes out, smiles and sometimes even eats. If father wasn't around I'd fear for her health." He sighed.

Sothis perked up. Dragon! So there were other dragons in other worlds. Wonderful! “So how did you, ah.. unlock Falcor?” She didn’t fully understand everything he’s talking about but it’s still fascinating nonetheless! Everyone has their own special familiar, unique skills. She wondered what else was different about his world than hers. Different questions for a different time!

”No, ‘m fine. We can continue.” A nod. She wasn’t tired. She wasn’t hungry. It was nice to hear the concern. Sothis paused before she reached out to take hold of Lance’s hand, a sign of comfort she wasn’t sure it was needed. A massive ship.. here she thought it was only animals, not actual objects! It seemed.. concerning, however, with how he said it. Hm..

“Let’s go to the village. Lead the way, Morgan..” Having a place to stay would be nice and the two of them can form a proper plan. Less worry about finding suitable shelter for when the night strikes. But if there are monsters about.. well. A form of defence in a way.
