Side note: Did Kojiro get angry because Kaoru told him not to be interesting?

When he woke up, Kaoru could see that he was wearing a shirt with a guy who looked very familiar, and to himself he thought that the guy in the shirt looked really cool and that someday he would look like him. Why would anyone hate someone who looks so cool?
