I download builds from the gallery/tumblr and then redo the interior, sometimes I add on or expand the build. Even though I’ve been playing for 20yrs, I’m just not a builder. I used to be embarrassed and mad at myself but honestly, there are SO many talented builders in this community and they share their builds with us to use them, not just look at them, right? 😄 I’m a storyteller first and foremost and I love decorating and dressing up my sims. And if that brings me joy, that’s what I’ll keep doing.🩷

I want to set up my resources page soon if you guys are interested I can list my favorite builders (my go-to’s when I quickly need sth specific for gameplay). I 99% of the time use No CC builds, I only use CC for my main family households (just a precaution for my poor laptop lol)

99% of the time, I use my own. I do like to use premades for my stories, asfriends for my sims, romancing them etc. However, I have used premades from my custom save files, after giving them a makeover of course. That happens rarely, I really need to connect to that sim. Fun fact: Rosemary Hinkle is a sim from @lostinsophiesave 😄 As soon as I saw her I was in love, I changed her a bit but she’s still her and it blew off from there 😅 but in my other legacies they’re all my creations, I see them as my pixel children so I need to be the one creating them, I guess 🫶🏻

So I’ve been lurking here for everr, probably really started in the last year though, with my illness etc I needed sth to take my mind off the pain. I was already simming of course and I read a lot but I like to see how others play and get inspired by them. I started taking screenshots for myself when I lost a very precious save file back then (1 year ago) because I thought “At least you’ll have pictures”. When you spend so much time on your story and everything is corrupted because of a stupid bug, it’s really disheartening.

When did I start posting here? Less than a month ago! 🙈 So yeah, very new to all of this but I’m doing this for me first and foremost. Because this way my screenshots will be put together in a nice story and not squished together on my disk 😂 and another reason I started posting is because I noticed how wonderful this community is (yes there can be drama lol but all in all I see this as a safe space) and wanted to be a part of it 🩷 I’ve been having a good time and it really helped me get my mind off irl stuff so thank you 🫶🏻

Oh I LOVE CC, I‘ve used it for all sims games except sims 1. Maxis Match for most things, slightly Maxis Mix for skins and maybe some clothes. I love the cartoony look of the sims 4 the most.

However, I‘m extremely picky about the CC I use. Apart from the looks and quality, whether or not I find the creator sympathetic and general attitude is very important to me (same goes for mods). So I don’t feel comfortable using CC from creators who post (exclusively) on curseforge, have permanent paywalls, extremely long EA periods (especially when the items are just mesh edits anyone can do in a few minutes) and are basically rude to their community, don’t answer questions, discriminate against people with different race/beliefs/gender/sexuality/looks and, ofc, support war and genocide of an entire people.

Thankfully, there are a lot of extremely talented, insanely creative creators out there that I want to support and use in my game 🫶🏻

Lastly, I have a lot more CAS CC than BB. Simply because I could probably play without BB CC (won’t enjoy it as much though) but I couldn’t play without CAS. I need to form a connection with the character! 💕

Couldn't agree more with this post! I'm a big fan of EA's gender and sexual orientation update, but the way they included disabilities ingame is absolute lackluster.

There are some awesome mods that prove that the game can be much more inclusive (massive shoutout to ADeepIndigo for all their health-related mods) but those mods also make me realise just how little effort EA put into the hearing aids and insuline patches. They're literally just an accessoire you put on in CAS without any gameplay attached to them.

I understand if creating animations for wheelchair users is a lot of work, but adding a handful of moodlets and text boxes for simple stuff like hearing aids or glasses? Is that really too much to ask for?

I've been thinking about starting a simblr for a while but only pulled through with the idea more recently. Like many of us, I love storytelling. Ever since I was a child I made up characters and stories in my head.

But I realised that with time you begin to forget things. First it's minor details. But the more time passes, the more likely you forget bigger, more important things.

I also saw both my grandmother and mother suffer from dementia. It's a nasty illness that unfortunately runs in the family. When my mother got diagnosed with it a few years ago, I swore to myself to write down at least some of my stories. Not necessarily because I fear to also suffer from dementia in the far future, but because it's nice to be able to come back to something you put so much passion into. But the things is: I work as a copy-writer. I already spend 40 hours a week writing and the chances of me being motivated to write more after 8 hours of work-related writing are small.

My next idea was to learn how to draw and create a comic. It didn't even take a week until I got rid of that idea. I'm a perfectionist and while I enjoy drawing, I'm still an absolute beginner.

So I came up with a new idea: What if I "write" down my stories using sims? I saw people do it on Simblr and other social media platforms and it's a great way to tell stories! And most of my current stories where inspired by my sims anyways. So yeah ~ I eventually settled down with this idea and here we are! 😆

("But Bunny, what are the chances Tumblr still exists once you are older?". My actual plan is to print out all the screenshots of my mainstory and turn them into a photobook haha.)

I'm terrible at building but I love furnishing houses. So I usually hop on the gallery, place the house unfurnished and decorate it myself.

Sometimes I make slight adjustments to the build to better fit my needs, but I prefer to spend most of my time in buy mode rather than build mode.

Favorite: Strangerville. Not only am I a big fan of the Strangerville story, but I also really like the vibe of this world.

Least Favorite: Probably Evergreen Harbour or Willow Creek. Can't even name a specific reason. I'm just not a big fan of these two worlds.

This may come as a surprise to some, as I've primarily used poses for my screenshots so far, but I actually spend most of my time in live-mode. There are times where I'm more inspired to hang around in CAS or Build/Buy, but usually I spend most of my time playing rather than building, decorating or dressing up my sims.

(Reason why I use poses for my screenshots is that I get to immersed while playing and often forget to take screenshots. So I have a second save where I recreate all the main events of my gameplay using poses to take proper screenshots)

I've been the type of player who deleted all existing families and replaced them with their own sims. So I don't remember most of the families from earlier games.

If I had to pick one sim to have a comeback in Sims 4, I would probably pick Nervous Subject. I always felt sorry for him, but he's one of the few sims whose backstory I remember even 20 years later. Come to think of it, I really miss the days where the Sims Team felt bold enough to include families with darker backstories.

Hi!! It's my first SQOTD! I'm thrilled!

So I don't post any gameplay or anything (YET!) I'm mostly a CAS girl but in my game when I'm playing I download builds from the gallery then fully convert the inside, decorate with CC or to the characters taste. I hate building, especially roofing but I can spend hours decorating.

I also love downloading and checking out peoples save files. But I don't usually play in them. I'll take houses and families that I like and put them into my save.

I don’t remember many careers from TS2, I know I liked running a store in Open For Business.

But for the very short time I played TS3 I LOVED the active firefighter career. I played it so much I totally neglected the rest of the family but I was BUSY!

Okay, so there’s a lot of cc that I use all the time but I’ll try to pick the top ones.

When it comes to skin details I always use lashes, face shadow, and face highlight. (I can try to find the ones I use if anyone wants to know)

For hair and clothes I usually favor one or two creators. For masc hair I love moood and hezeh. I don’t really have any favorites for fem hairs though. For clothes I love Gorillax3 for both masc and fem clothes.

Another thing I can’t live without in cas is cc sliders and presets, but I won’t list favs because there’s too many of them

Most of my oc’s would say it isn’t soup, except for Delilah. She’d be adamant that because it has a “broth” that it must be soup. She may or may not just be arguing this just to get her friends riled up.

I honestly love rendering as a whole, but I’m still new to it and that makes the little details hard to get right. I absolutely hate dealing with lighting. It’s the bane of my existence. On the other hand, I really like appending and sculpting clothes on my sims. I don’t do it often, but if I did it in this post

Even though I've been a little off my game lately as I work on my skills, I do usually have some some semblance of a process. My posts as of right now are mainly blender renders, so I do all my blender work and then I go an edit in gimp to fix anything or add stuff I couldn't get in blender. Sometimes I'll let the edited render sit in my files for a few days before I post, but sometimes I'll just go ahead and post it right away. I usually work in blender for a couple hours a day because I do online school so I'm always home.

I also hope to start making story posts soon!

Blaire absolutely loves this song and would probably start dancing to it and singing along. Axel and Luc like the song enough not to immediately turn it off. Felix has never heard the song before and doesn’t really care for it, but doesn’t want to upset Blaire by saying anything about it.

It was a few years ago, but I had like 2 saves that lasted for like a year and had four or five generations. I’ve never been able to play that long since though.
