     𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐚  𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝'𝐯𝐞  𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰𝐧  𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭  𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲𝐢𝐧𝐠  𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟  𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡  𝐡𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫  𝐰𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝  𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞  𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬  𝐚𝐧𝐝  𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬,     she  even  expected  threats  against  her  life  because  he  was  like  an  overgrown  child  trying  to  throw  his  weight  around  and  be  in  control,  feeling  like  he  has  to  prove  to  everyone  just  how  powerful  he  is.     but  this  chilled  her  to  the  bone  because  it  meant  he  knew  more  about  her  than  he  ever  let  on  and  she  knew     𝐞𝐱𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐥𝐲     who  he  was  talking  about     -     hughie.     did  he  really  think  she  was  just  like  everyone  else  he  surrounded  himself  with?     that  she  would  just  bow  down  to  him,  do  whatever  he  asked  with  a  scared  look  on  her  face  and  just  show  him  that  fear  would  get  him  everything.     he  had  no  fucking  idea  who  she  really  was  and  if  homelander  thought  that  he  could  just  threaten  her,  then  he  was  going  to  learn  just  how     𝐝𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐬     she  could  be.

     𝐢𝐟  𝐬𝐡𝐞  𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲  𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭  𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭  𝐢𝐭,     she  wouldn't  say  a  word,  it  had  the  potential  to  go  so  wrong  and  she  had  to  hope  she  was  still  useful  to  him  alive  to  allow  her  to  get  away  with  what  she  was  about  to  say.     it  was  a  piece  of  information  that  could  be  useful  for  her  at  a  later  date,  but  she  couldn't  allow  him  to  think  that  threats  against  the  people  she  loves,  then  he  had  another  think  coming.     stan  edgar  had  taught  her  that  words  and  information  held  just  as  much  power  as  her  own  abilities,  if  not  more  and  it  was  a  lesson  she  had  never  forgotten.     victoria  usually  thought  more  clearly  before  making  any  moves,  but  he  had  made  the     𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐞     of  making  threats  and  she  wasn't  in  the  mood  to  play  any  games  with  him.

     𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠  𝐨𝐮𝐭  𝐚  𝐬𝐦𝐚𝐥𝐥  𝐬𝐜𝐨𝐟𝐟  𝐨𝐟  𝐥𝐚𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐞𝐫,     taking  a  step  towards  him  as  she  looked  up  at  him,  eyes  dark  as  a  serious  expression  takes  over  her  face,  heart  beat  steady  but  her  anger  obvious,     "     i  know  you  think  you're  safe  because  i  probably  can't  pop  your  head,  but  do  not  think  for  a  second  that  i  can't  hurt  you  too,     "     victoria  paused  for  a  moment,  dark  eyes  searching  his  face  for  a  moment.     hughie  may  not  be  speaking  to  her  right  now,  he  was  avoiding  her  and  not  answering  her  calls,  but  she  would  everything  she  could  to  keep  him  safe.     she  couldn't  count  on  starlight  to  not  mess  things  up  and  there  was  no  way  she  had  any  trust  in  butcher  to  keep  hughie  out  of  trouble.     he  may  hate  her  for  what  she's  done,  but  that  doesn't  mean  she  wouldn't  do  what  she  could  to  keep  him  alive,     "     if  you  touch  hughie  at  all,  i  may  not  be  able  to  kill  you  and  it  very  well  may  be  the  last  thing  i  do.     but  like  i  told  her,  it  would  be  tough  to  take  our  america's  sweetheart     .     .     .     but  not  impossible,     "     it  was  showing  a  big  card,  revealing  that  she  knows  about  him  and  starlight,  how  it  wasn't  all  pretend  for  the  cameras.     homelander  was     𝐢𝐧  𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞     with  starlight,  if  that  was  even  possible  for  someone  like  him.     she  didn't  like  threatening  annie,  she  likes  annie  and  she  knew  she  was  important  to  hughie  too.     but  if  hughie  was  gone,  she  wanted  him  to  know  exactly  how  it  felt  to  lose  the  person  you  love,     "     it  is  mutually  assured  destruction.     we  can  play  nice,  but  do  not  think  for  a  second  that  i'm  like  all  the  other  idiots  you  surround  yourself  with.     i  will  always  be  honest,  which  is  how  you  can  trust  that  i  mean  every  word  i  say,     "
