     𝐡𝐨𝐰  𝐝𝐢𝐝  𝐢𝐭  𝐞𝐧𝐝  𝐮𝐩  𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞  𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬?     blossom  and  her  sisters  no  longer  the  heroes  that  they  had  been  seen  as  before,  all  for  some  insane  dream  and  plot  to  take  down  the  company  that  had  created  them.     but  if  it  meant  that  no  one  would  ever  go  through  what  they  all  had,  the  powerpuff  girls  and  the  rowdyruff  boys,  then  blossom  would  make  sure  that  she  played  her  own  part  in  it.     it  still  felt  so  wrong  and  the  idea  of  working  alongside  the  villains  that  they  had  fought  against  for  so  long.     but  if  they  were  to  bring  down  the  true  evil,  good  and  bad  must  work  alongside  each  other,  moved  by  inspiring  words  from  the  daughter  of  the  world's     𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬𝐭     superhero.     blossom  didn't  know  what  to  think  of  the  whole  thing,  it  was  almost  insane  to  think  this  was  even  the  situation  they  found  themselves  in,  if  she  hadn't  seen  what  homelander  and  vought  were  capable  of,  she  never  would've  gone  along  with  it  or  led  her  sisters  into  this.     though  she  doubts  that  she  would've  been  able  to  persuade  bubbles  to  separate  herself  from  butch  or  would've  found  a  better  use  of  buttercup's  anger.     despite  her  own  worries  about  the  fights  ahead,  she  joined  her  sisters,  naomi  and  the  rowdyruff  boys.

     𝐛𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐦  𝐰𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝  𝐝𝐨  𝐚𝐧𝐲𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠  𝐟𝐨𝐫  𝐡𝐞𝐫  𝐬𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬,     a  fact  well  known  by  anyone  who  knew  of  them,  it  was  something  that  had  started  from  the  younger  years  of  training  together  and  once  they  went  out  in  the  public  eye,  it  only  became     𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐫     as  the  years  grew.     she  was  the  eldest,  the  leader  and  she  had  to  look  out  for  bubbles,  so  sensitive  in  her  own  ways,  and  bubble,  so  headstrong  that  she  got  herself  in  trouble  more  often  than  not.     they  had  each  held  their  own  against  the  boys,  fights  evenly  matched  which  she  now  knew  was  by  design  from  the  very  company  who  had  created them.     but  she  knew  that  in  attempting  to  always  protect  her  sisters,  blossom  had  the  tendency  to  leave  herself     𝐯𝐮𝐥𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞     in  a  fight.     a  fact  that  brick  had  exploited  more  often  than  not  in  fights  in  the  past,  but  now  here  he  was,  offering  to  keep  her  safe  and  it  made  her  feel  like  she  was  more  exposed  than  she  ever  had  been  before.

     𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠  𝐡𝐞𝐫  𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐝  𝐚𝐬  𝐬𝐡𝐞  𝐫𝐞𝐟𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐬  𝐭𝐨  𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐤  𝐚𝐭  𝐡𝐢𝐦,     hands  clenched  as  she  looks  out  over  the  city  on  the  rooftop  they  stood  on.     she  didn't  know  what  to  think  about  all  of  this,  but  especially  confused  about  the  growing  relationship  between  her  and  brick.     the  two  of  them  had  always  had  a  great  tension  that  had  boiled  over,  she  kept  telling  herself  that  it  was  due  to     𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐤     of  self  control,  something  that  she  told  herself  that  she  would  find  a  way  of  stopping.     but  yet  she  couldn't  stop  it,  she  found  herself  pulled  to  him  in  a  way  that  she  could  not  control  and  it  scared  her  more  than  any  fight.     love  was  something  she  had  always  felt  and  admired  in  her  sisters,  but  admitting to  herself  that  she  was  in  love  with  brick  was  something  entirely  more  difficult  than  anticipated.     letting  out  a  shaky  breath,  fists  unclenching  and  palms  going  flat  against  the  edge  of  the  rooftop,     "     i  don't  need  you  to  keep  me  safe,     "

     𝐛𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐦  𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲  𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐬  𝐭𝐨  𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐤  𝐚𝐭  𝐡𝐢𝐦,     eyes  blazing  as  she  looks  at  him,  her  heart  racing  in  her  chest  as  she  steps  towards  him,     "     we  may  have  to  work  together,  brick,  but  i  still  don't  trust  you  to  ever  keep  me  safe     .     .     .     my  sisters  and  naomi  may  have  forgotten  what  you  and  your  brothers,  but  i  haven't,     "     she  knew  what  she  was  doing,  keeping  him  at  distance  to  not  feel  like  she  had  to  protect  someone  else.     blossom  couldn't  be  looking  out  for  him  as  well  as  her  sisters,  she  would  be  even  more     𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐞𝐝     and  she  couldn't  have  that.     she  had  thought  about  it,  anaylsed  every  situation  and  she  knew  that  brick  was  the  kind  of  distraction  that  she  could  not  afford  to  have.     standing  in  front  of  him,  she  looks  at  him  with  an  unreadable  expression,     "     you  would  only  exploit  a  weakness  because  you  are  still  the  bad  guy.     i  can  keep  myself  safe  and  my  sisters,  i  don't  need  you  or  your  protection.     you  understand?     "
