      𝐛𝐮𝐭  𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭  𝐝𝐢𝐝𝐧'𝐭  𝐦𝐞𝐚𝐧  𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭  𝐬𝐡𝐞  𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐥𝐥  𝐰𝐚𝐬𝐧'𝐭  𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐝  𝐢𝐧  𝐡𝐞𝐫  𝐨𝐰𝐧  𝐰𝐚𝐲,     she  knew  what  he  had  done,  would  continue  to  do  if  no  one  stopped  him.     the  pain,  the  heartbreaks,  the  death     -     he  was  responisble  for  so  much.     yet  she  couldn't  stop  herself  from  being  in  love  with  him  and  she  had  to  let  herself  wonder  if  there  was  anything  he  could  do  that  would  make  her  finally  say  that  is      𝐞𝐧𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡.     what  scared  her  most  was  that  she  wasn't  even  sure  that  existed.     a  part  of  her  knew  that  no  matter  what  happened,  she  would  be  in  love  with  him  and  even  if  she  couldn't  stand  by  him,  he  would  still  have  her  heart.     fuck.     this  was  so  much  more  intense  than  she  ever  intended  and  a  part  of  her  didn't  even  know  how  it  actually  happened.     it  felt  like  it  happened  naturally  and  yet  all  at  once  at  the  same  time.

      𝐝𝐚𝐫𝐤  𝐞𝐲𝐞𝐬  𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐤  𝐮𝐩  𝐭𝐨  𝐦𝐞𝐞𝐭  𝐡𝐢𝐬  𝐚𝐬  𝐡𝐞  𝐭𝐢𝐥𝐭𝐬  𝐡𝐞𝐫  𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧,     her  heart  racing  a  little  faster  in  her  chest  as  she  watches  him,  that  smile  that  ghosted  his  lips  and  she  couldn't  but  wonder  what  he  must  be  thinking  right  now.     her  honesty  sometimes  shocked  her,  she  wouldn't      𝐥𝐢𝐞     to  him  about  things,  she  needed  to  be  honest  but  she  wouldn't  deny  that  sometimes,  she  did  worry  about  his  reaction.     but  right  now,  she  could  tell  he  wasn't  mad  or  angry  about  what  she  said.     eyes  closed  as  he  pressed  the  kiss  to  her  forehead,  feeling  soothed  by  it  in  a  way  that  made  it  feel  like  he  had  taken  all  the  tension  away  that  she  had  been  feeling.     looking  up  at  him  again  as  he  spoke,  she  knew  how  right  he  was,  that  the      𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞     here  was  something  neither  of  them  could  run  from  or  deny  it,     "     i  know,      "     she  whispered  softly,  her  hands  moving  to  rest  on  his  chest,  moving  a  little  closer  as  she  tried  to  wrap  her  head  around  what  this  meant.     no  more  denying.     no  more  hiding  it  from  him.     she  couldn't  do  that  anymore,  it  was      𝐞𝐱𝐡𝐚𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠      and  it  wasn't  working.     he  knew  that  she  loves  him  and  he  also  knew  she  couldn't  keep  denying  it,     "     i  love  you     .     .     .     i  can't  keep  denying  it  to  myself,  especially  when  you  can  see  right  through  me  and  you  know  the  truth,      "     it  didn't  make  it  easier,  knowing  she  would  also  do  whatever  she  had  to  to  stop  him  if  it  came  to  that.     he  said  it  himself,  he  was  a  monster  and  she  knew  he  wasn't  always,  but  she  knew  that  they  had  to  keep  making  sure  he  didn't  go  too  far  before  more  people  got  hurt.     annie  knew  she  was  torn  between  her  head  and  her  heart,  she  was  going  to  be  the  one  who  ended  up  heartbroken  and  hurt,     "     i  know  i  said  i  need  you  to  be  a  monster     .     .     .     but  i  don't  always  think  you  are  one,  i  know  you,  i  see  you  and  that  is  why  i  love  you,      "
