Getting back to Red Rising fanart after a long time. I really do flat my colors that garishly when I'm bothering to do layers (my paintings don't have separate layers for clothes or hair on the figures, so I jump right in from the color comp), and it's because I'm really bad at staying inside the lines (and tend towards lines too ornate to click and fill easily)
