are there other phrases that invoke the gods in your world’s language? i love that “maju ciocaga”/“i am lost” incorporates ciocana’s name, it’s such a fun detail!

The language is perpetually a work in progress, but here are some words that I already have that invoke their names!

Lucifila refers to time, but lucifilara refers to eternity. That's because adding -ara to nouns is generally used for referring to two of something. This is similar to how in English, we usually add an -s to nouns to indicate they are plural. In the language, there is a singular, dual, and plural. Apparently, Sanskrit and Ancient Greek have dual morphology as well.

Hila and quin refer to different types of love, and are quite literally the names of the deities, Hilaria and Quin. Considering how you say "I love you" in the language is by saying, "you are love," you are quite literally saying they are a) the deity of love, and/or b) the embodiment of love.

Ciocen means "to lose." Ciocaga is just the past participle of this verb, which is to say, it's a verb that can sometimes be used as an adjective, like "lose" can become "lost" (verb->adjective).

On the other hand, elleran means "to win," like the ruler of the gods' name, Ellera.

My girl twin MC cutting her beloved long hair short and wearing boy's clothing to feel closer to Alistair. Who she used to call Lissy, bc it sounds like a cute nickname and an insult all at once because of it. Standing in front of a mirror and trying to see what he would look like now. Loosing family is always wretched, but twins being left with only one half of themselves is just sad. Like a phantom limb, still stretching out a hand for the other to take naturally, still looking over your shoulder first for them to follow, only to be met with nothing but air. Always trying to choose things in pairs, or so you have one extra to share automatically. Still wondering about what happened to the other necklace and clutching yours everytime you need comfort and he isn't there already. Not being able to walk away from encounters first, incapable of turning your back on the one or two people who are actually important to you now first. Always stepping around a room so you don't stand directly under chandeliers subconsciously. Not being able to eat the type of cookies that are the same ones we pilfered from the kitchen back then, or only ever eating half and leaving the other half of it for someone who won't claim it anymore. All the many small things that make up the trauma that aren't as noticable as the more outwardly (self)destructive one we pick.

That's so sad. 😭

The little things are really important, I wonder how this type of MC would react to someone noticing it and helping them (like blowing out the fire)? I think it would be really sweet but also scary that someone noticed especially if MC themselves doesn't know that they do those things.
