When you walk around casually, hoping nobody notices the fact that you just swallowed the couple across the street because you thought they were too happy. It was nice for a good minute, knowing they were more miserable than you, but then there was a shift. He might as well let them out and see if someone less annoying would be willing to eat him.

When do boys begin the rite of passage of becoming predators? How do they celebrate the milestone of their first digested prey?

When it comes to fatal vore, there’s a small group of guys who have the predator gene (about 1 in 1,000). They will first find out this when their body starts rejecting all food and they have intense cravings for other men. This occurs during the end of puberty, usually between age 14 and 16, (though this is more of a trend than a rule as one of my close friends became one at age 18)

Assuming you’re speaking within the confines of non-fatal vore, it’s not too uncommon, especially for older brothers to swallow their younger brother. I know a handful of my friends who will eat their friends or brother when roughhousing as always the ultimate way to show dominance.

I’d say as long as it’s in the realm of non-fatal vore and it’s not sexual, it’s a natural part of brotherhood.
