as someone diagnosed with autism in like 1st grade, i would like to salute all the people who didn't get diagnosed until later and those who remain undiagnosed, you guys are troopers and i have nothing but respect

in monster high gen 3, twyla is not only autistic coded, but DIRECTLY SAYS "i'm autistic"

which is such a huge step in representation, especially in kids tv. i love all of the diversity that they're putting into this new generation and it's going to be so good for kids to grow up on and hopefully feel less alone in the world

(additionally i'm also just so excited about this anyway because monster high was my special interest as a kid and so to have a canonically autistic character for the new generation is exciting)

EDIT: also just wanted to let y'all know the voice actor for twyla (kayla cromer) is also autistic :)
