I hate how people will casually borrow demons from Christianity and then go make some dumb movie about humans defeating demons using more witchcraft. Or like, they'll let the people use bible verses or holy water but they ignore the very thing that even gives people power over the devil which is literally the blood our all-powerful holy savior Jesus Christ. Like for once, I want Jesus to be the actual solution. I want to see a nun who makes Sorcerers tremble because Jesus is walking with her.

I’m so beyond tired of the same people who constantly bitch about appropriation completely ignore how Christianity (though mainly Catholicism) is bastardized in so many horror movies and tv shows.

I love horror movies, but I am so sick of seeing Catholicism used as some mysterious way of solving things when it’s extremely clear that the writers and even the characters have no knowledge or even any interest in the Church.

Like absolute full offense, any movie exorcism or any time a priest ever visits a haunting or whatever and there isn’t any mention of Christ or the Church I immediately know that nobody who helped make this actually knows what an exorcism is or cares to be accurate about it.

I think a lot of the time it’s just lazy writing because they need some solution to make everything all better.
