I've been thinking about it, and I think I understand what you mean! (Or at least, I see similarities)

They both have very flawed views on "what is right" and "what healthy relationships are"; Vriska truly does think she's helping Tavros the same way Gamzee thinks hoarding the corpses of his friends is "good".

Neither of them intend to be villains or even antagonists- rather they both want to be heroes so much it corrupts their minds and relationships with others. They struggle with their "addictions" (Gamzee literally with his pie, Vriska with her need to feed her lusus and her insistence on "helping" people get stronger) and are frustrated by it but can't break away no matter how much they know they need to.

They're both very tragic figures and I have a lot of words in my brain,,, I hope this makes sense!

my controversial homestuck take is that vriska and gamzee are crazy similar actually. and neither vriska stans or gamzee stans like that thought
