THIS not enough people realise this and it physically pains me wylan isn't naive or innocent nor is he ruthless or unhinged he's multifaceted and at his core he's a not a bad person there's SO MUCH goodness inside of him and he won't let anything abdicate that that in no way makes him incompetent or naive he can be a badass and have a big heart at the same time people don't realise how painting wylan as this unhinged and ruthless character is just as bad as infantilising him in terms of mischaracterising him wylan van eck six of crows crooked kingdom grishaverse

one of my favorite things in fiction will always be characters who are thematic parallels for each other. narrative foils. two sides of the same coin. exact opposite outcomes of the same situation. they look at each other and see their own souls reflected back at them
