As most of you know, I have been taking a bit of a break for summer just because it’s a super busy time for me. Our main business is seasonal so I’m pretty tied up until school begins again. And for our town, that’s next Monday.

I’ve stated several times that I plan to open requests again in August and that plan hasn’t changed. However, I do want to make a few notes about what that will mean.

I love to write, obviously 😅 I’ll have more time to write. In fact, I will be scheduling writing time for myself during the day while my son is at school.

With that in mind, I should mention here that my main focus will be the book series that Val and I are co-writing. We have already planned out at least four books. Plus, we both have separate books that we will be writing individually.

We will have Patreon accounts for the meat of what we share with that, and use Tumblr as our teaser point.

I am not going to stop writing TMNT fanfics. I love our boys too much for that!! It just won’t be my focus.

I will be accepting requests but with less time spent on them, I will be much pickier about what I choose to write. If it doesn’t come to me quickly, I’ll have to skip it. In the past I’ve tried to accommodate every request, with a few exceptions. I’m going to have to start turning some down, and I do hate that, but I also need to fulfill my dream of becoming a published author.

Requests can use the TMNT prompt list (link on my master list) or be organic.

I have also found a lot of love with some of the stories that I’ve written with my own ideas rather than answering asks so I’ll be trying to do more of that when I write fanfics. Most of those have been Raph based because he is bae. But I’m working on ideas for each of the other brothers now.

I will continue Into the Shadows, and the requests that I already agreed to do. Chapter 21 should be posted this weekend!
