Here’s a little taste of what’s to come….}
Her pale skin glimmers in the moonlight. The water droplets catching the moon’s beams and making them sparkle like diamonds upon the landscape of her skin. The journey so far has been arduous and, at times, perilous. A shiver passes over her shoulders remembering all the creatures that have sought after her blood. The events too recent, the danger still too near, she reverently closes her eyes and thinks of home. She can’t help but miss the hot spray of a proper shower, but this waterfall has to suffice. It is like entering a private lagoon all for her. The cascade thunders before her, but the water surrounding her is surprisingly calm. Still, she remembers all too well how looks can be deceiving.
A movement to her left catches her attention and for one soul-sucking moment, her heart stutters in her chest. Fear grips her throat in its fierce, domineering grasp until slowly, her eyes adjust and discern just the barest hint of rough hide and familiar nodules breaking the surface. She smiles to herself, knowing full well he wouldn’t be able to resist. She begins to hum a languid melody to herself, hardly audible above the din. Breast deep in the water, she trails her fingers over the top of the pool’s surface and watches the ripples fan out.
He swims silently through the shallow pool, his large muscular body barely above the rocky floor. Keeping his head low, he eyes his prize. The dimness of the night’s sky and the murkiness of the lagoon’s water, setting few limits for his beastly vision. Just a few yards before him, dark blonde curls hide her treasure at the apex of her creamy thighs. He nearly shakes with the anticipation of tasting her sweetness on his tongue.

Here’s another little nibble of what’s to come….}
She feels the vibrations before she hears them. The dense rumble, like far off thunder, disturbs the water just a couple of feet in front of her. His deep, baritone bellow sends a shockwave through the water causing anticipation to shiver down her spine and a gush of expectation to escape from her core. Just below the water’s surface, his hands, calloused and rough from years of axe wielding and battle training, slide up the outside of her thighs with surprising gentleness, squeezing experimentally every few inches. He lifts his enormous head up from the lagoon, the cascading water forming rivulets in the divots of his hide and admires the faint flush coloring that fans across the curving planes of her chest and neck. With the pool to amplify the sound, his next low is louder, guttural, and menacing. A territorial sound not meant for her ears, but broadcast for those of his kind, a clear and dominant demand. Any other males nearby will recognize the warning.
He is thankful for his shorter snout as he brushes his lips across hers. Instantly, her mouth opens in invitation, and he is swift to plunge deep, tasting her eagerly. She melts against him, folding her smaller frame into the arches of his muscles, succumbing to his appetite without hesitation. She knows deep in her heart that it will always be like this. She will crave him to the end of her days.

As he ravages her mouth, his tongue drinking greedily from her honeyed pout, his big hands encircle her waist with ease. She’s a shapely, luscious woman, full bodied with curves so dangerous she needs her own warning signs, but no one has ever made her feel small like this lover. His hands easily dwarf her form, making her seem as petite as some of her traveling companions. With a flick and a flex of a few powerful muscles, he easily pushes her back through the water, coaxing her into more secluded surroundings. She moans into his kiss as the water’s cascading curtain plunges over their unified form. Behind the waterfall, he finds a smooth flat stone at the front edge of the cavern and gently lays her back. He is struck by the sight of her laying there with rivulets of water glistening and sliding across her skin, now pebbled with goosebumps from the cool cavern’s air. Her eyes burn with a hunger only he can quench. His heart swells, even as his loins ache with need. She widens her legs in invitation with a coy smile, knowing exactly how she affects him.
Easing down to his knees in the balmy pool, his snout is eye level with her opening, and he leans into take a deep breath. Inhaling her scent into his lungs, he feels her essence invade him from the inside out, feeding his hungry bestial nature to rut. Another bone-shaking churr rumbles into the water signifying his desire, echoing back from the cavern and surrounding her from all sides. He grasps her legs firmly but with care, placing them over his shoulders, preparing to feast.
She bites her lip to keep from moaning, watching as this seven foot behemoth with razor sharp teeth touches her with such tenderness. She finds herself utterly astonished. Careful of the sharp claws on the ends of his fingertips, he slides his hands under her thighs to her posterior. Grabbing the cheeks of her ass, he lifts them like an offering before taking his first sip. With each measured lick, a pressure soon begins building low and her head begins to toss from side to side as her body seeks ways to alleviate the mounting tension. His churrs become a steady vibration, like a deeper version of a purr, and she adds to his song with her soft moans. Her rolling hips keep his snout bobbing to keep tempo with her, this erotic dance of tongue and slick skin grows desperate as the pressure builds to a crescendo. His name falls from her lips like a prayer, as she hangs on the precipice of desire, and what deity would deny such an offering?

The sun-dappled leaves flutter in the slight breeze as morning melts into a warm afternoon. A branch bobs as a feisty squirrel lands and races away from her playmate, chittering when he lands behind her within seconds. Birds call and a lone woodpecker’s staccato rhythm echoes. Then it all comes to an abrupt stop.
How did they get here? How did this happen?
Only minutes ago, they were on a girls’ getaway, the trip of a lifetime. Giggling at inside jokes, singing along with the radio at the top of their lungs, and reminiscing about their teenage years. Now, her heart was pounding as they rashly crash through the dense foliage of the surrounding woods that they were just admiring from her car’s windows.
‘This is insane’, she thinks as her feet pound into the spongy moss-covered ground. The thick scent of earth fills her nostrils with the fragrance of pine, ferns, and dirt, topped with the spice of decaying underbrush. She huffs from the exertion, the adrenaline in her veins pushing her past her normal activity limit. She barely notices the rivulets of sweat as they roll from her hairline down around her flushed face. ‘Running for your life, or at least your virtue, will do that to a person,’ she muses from the verge of hysteria.
Loud above the women’s ragged breathing, she swears it sounds like their seedy shouts are coming from all around them as they push deeper and deeper into the thicket. Their taunts spew sordid and disgusting, and oh god, they sound so close!
‘These men must know these woods’, the recognition hits her square in the chest like a sledgehammer.
‘Dear God, what are we going to do?’

She can hear their footsteps now. God, they are so close!
The two frantic women push their tired legs harder, trying to gain distance between them and their pursuers. But the brush is so thick it grabs at their hips and thighs, wrapping around their legs, entangling their feet, and threatening to pull them down at any moment.
The surrounding woods have gone silent, the birds and timber critters have stopped chattering to listen to the desperate chase that is taking place. The air is thick with the telltale sounds of limbs cracking, the pounding thump of feet on dirt, the frantic rasps of prey struggling to breathe, and the encouraging howls of a hunt nearing its end.
She can hear them. Dear God, she can hear them in every direction! There is nowhere to flee from the howls and the vocalizations, any direction that they choose will send the frightened women right into one of the stalkers.
Seeing a very large hardwood in front of her, she grabs her fair-haired friend’s hand and pulls her towards the tree. The trunk is wide and stout. It will hopefully provide enough cover while they hide behind it to get their bearings.
There has to be a way to cut through their pursuers’ encircling line, she just needs a moment to think. Fuck, just a moment to listen and come up with a plan. As they huddle behind their shield of bark, the atmosphere is rife with tension at the horrifying sounds of the thicket cracking and splitting all around them. It's too late! The monsters are closing in!
With rising panic and the need for urgency, they are just about to sprint forward when a new crack is heard, this time from overhead.
A storm of leaves rains down from above as a heavy, ground-shaking thump is felt on the earth in front of where they cower in fear.
An ear-splitting guttural roar pierces the woodland like a spear. The force of the blasting sonance produces shockwaves that vibrate her insides and cause her heartbeat to stutter and falter.
When they dare to peek, the friends cannot believe their eyes. This wasn't one of the monsters pursuing them. This creature was unlike anything they had ever seen before…
