(Otachi poster by Ken Taylor as background) Xander, he/him, rampantly bi(cycling) . Notable for the supposed might of a THOUSAND (1000) lions and a lack of meaningful intelligence. I ramble on about a "couple" of things. This is intended to be broadly SFW, but you are likely to see a few beasts and critters (not recommending if you have phobias). I swear somewhat, though I moderate it a bit. Not hesitant to block if disturbed. Unable to donate. Racists, homophobes, transphobes, pedophiles, warmongers among others DNI.

Welp. Tried a crack at some heartstopper characters. As dinosaurs. And a pterosaur (Tao's clearly upset by this distinction).
...Heartstomper? Idk how to make the pun work, tbh.
Further clarification/elaboration.
Charlie is an Eotyrannus
Nick is a Neovenator.
Darcy is a Velociraptor
Tara is based on Ornithomimus or Struthiomimus (I swapped references half way through, so I am not sure).
Elle is a Spinosaurus.
Tao is a Quetzalcoatlus. By far the happiest with this of all the concepts because of how ludicrous but synergetic with his appearance it is.
Aled is based mostly on Oksoko, an oviraptor of sorts
Isaac is a Tyrannosaurus.
I sketched myself as Deinocheirus, because it is a dinosaur I strongly relate to and probably one of my (many) favourites.
I'll be honest I think this was a bit of a stupid and weird (?) idea, and I am likely to make fairly major changes if I ever revisit the concept. Which could be whenever or never.
On topic of weird, I do in fact have a weird monitor (it swivels about and attatches to my desk with a clamp).
I also question if I have a right to have read the comic and watch the series as someone who has a truckload of niche interests and little to no social experience. General opposite to the characters (or my impression of them, anyways).
Please escort me out of here.

The clump forming herbaceous perennial Kirengeshoma palmata (yellow wax bells) needs a humus-rich, lime-free soil in semi-shade with shelter from the wind. It associates well in a woodland border planted amongst ferns and hostas.

This is also very true on a more general front, and it is highly disappointing considering we KNOW people can be interested by nature and science. It doesn't need to be covered up, sugarcoated or ignored (the only reason it is happens to be because it is seen as societally useless), and it is stupid in a sense because of the entrepreneurial potential in partaking in science communication.
In general, cultural spending is NOT worthless, and there are several countries which are actual proof of this. Canada has a growing, and prospering, animation industry because of the attention it has placed on supporting independent filmmakers for decades. It is very possible to let positive things grow and see returns long-term.
I strongly dislike western societal attitudes towards these things because they are highly reductive and stubborn, almost conservative in a sense. It is very much only focussed on the immediately lucrative. Japan is by no means perfect either as a country either, but it is a case of one which has found success in running with the unconventional.

Ajattelin että Suomitumpunkin pitää nähdä Ruotsin uuden Suomen suurlähettilään naamataulu. Virkistävä tuulahdus vuosisatojen takaisesta tyylistä.

Btw, here is a gallery of Pacific Rim concept art. There are also some other storyboards floating around, iirc?
