Xander is bonding over mayonnaise sauce

(Otachi poster by Ken Taylor as background) Xander, he/him, rampantly bi(cycling) . Notable for the supposed might of a THOUSAND (1000) lions and a lack of meaningful intelligence. I ramble on about a "couple" of things. This is intended to be broadly SFW, but you are likely to see a few beasts and critters (not recommending if you have phobias). I swear somewhat, though I moderate it a bit. Not hesitant to block if disturbed. Unable to donate. Racists, homophobes, transphobes, pedophiles, warmongers among others DNI.

I've Been Obsessed With Alien Again. This Time The Score.

I've been obsessed with Alien again. This time the score.

I HIGHLY suggest this vid on the score, it's pretty damn interesting

And the full main theme is absoloutely glorious

In general, the film is very impressive for the circumstances it was made in, and it's one of my very favourite films. The creature itself is easily one of the best monsters of all time.

There is also a cat. Jonesy, truly smart and wise.

I've Been Obsessed With Alien Again. This Time The Score.

(Not really, but I do find cats seriously interesting because of how different they are from dogs, as a dog owner)

Picked up a little resin bee egg case "jar" a few weeks back, and today this chonky little creature emerged. Gave her a sugar snacc and released. Love these sweet little nuggets ❤️

Stubby little black bee with red highlights and dark purple tinted wings, on the end of my pinky finger
Face of the creature on my finger; big black eyes and cute little mandibles
The creature on a bit of dried palmetto frond, with her opened round resin egg case visible nearby
Close shot of the 2 little claws on the end of 2 of her red legs

Also see, a relative of resin bees: Dianthidium curvatum, a pebble bee 💛

Chonky little black and yellow bee, just all up in the pollen of a bright yellow flower

Two northern bottlenose whales surface in green water. One is diving, with its lower back and tailstock above the surface. It has small, curved dorsal fin. The other is spyhopping with its head raised vertically, clear of the surface. It has a deep head with a massive, bulbous melon, and a short, slim beak. The whale's wet skin is brownish and shines in the light.
