before I fall asleep; happy feast day for St. Francis of Assisi!

I didn't have time to sit down at my altar and pray to him, but I did try to honor him tonight with a modest pasta dish, Sicilian lemonade, and raspberry cuccidati, before assembling a small feast that I sent outside into the grass for my local bird population. I included my cat in the festivities with her favorite treats as well, of course.

tomorrow my wife is taking me out to a Catholic gift shop that I discovered recently, and I am very excited... ✧

you can make prayer cards for your own patron saints with just a little bit of blackout poetry, an old-timey cowboy portrait, and a few old issues of National Geographic (before they switched to that glossy late '80s/'90s paper)
