Shitting on El’s character and episode 2x07 in order to show how other characters are supposedly more important is lazy thinking. Try justifying how 2x07 isn’t important without diminishing El’s character OR sounding racist. Try it. If you want to shit on any character in this show, maybe pick on the ones who weren’t narratively important to s2. Like, um, idk, B*lly?

Stranger Things 3 and The Summer of Love

What if when the Duffer Brothers are talking about Stranger Things 3 being “the summer of love” they aren’t actually talking about shipping but rather implying that there might be flashbacks set in the summer of 1967, also known as The Summer of Love. During this period of time young people became suspicious of the government and LSD was in heavy use. Of course LSD was used in the MKUltra program spearheaded by Dr. Brenner and the Hawkins National Laboratory to expand the mind and create psychokinetic powers.

I forgot about this little detail from the end of season 1. They cite someone named Richard Brenner, not Martin.

Who in the hell is Dr. Richard Brenner?  Maybe Dr. Brenner’s full name is actually Dr. Richard Martin Brenner? 

Maybe it’s his dad?

Maybe Richard is Martin’s brother?

Will we be seeing him in season 3?
