I did a rewatch of Outrageous Fortune and forgot that the last act of the film takes place in New Mexico.
Season 4 of Stranger Things takes place in New Mexico and Dr. Brenner is supposed to return.
Hmm. Makes me wonder if there's going to be a plot about Eleven and co. chasing Brenner around the country like he's Michael Santers.

For all y'all who think Brenner is evil:
Brenner basically warned Mike and Will's mothers about provoking the Upside Down because it would fuck shit up and they just didn't listen because "he's some creepy guy who was mean to a self-destructive child weapon but let's humanize her and make her a cool teen with a boyfriend lol" and now their kids and other dumb people keep teasing the USD like it's a zoomied up cat and then they wonder why it keeps biting them for no reason.
It's funny that Movie Reddit is suddenly obsessed with Come and See (1985) considering back in 2018 I was trying to decipher clues for Stranger Things 3 and one of the clues in the riddle codes on the ST Twitter and Instagram led me to that film. I'm wondering if Come and See is going to be used as reference for Brenner and Hopper's backgrounds in S4's flashbacks.
But realtalk here, is Dr. Brenner connected to Thomas Pynchon in any way? Think about it.
My order for the Dorbz Dr. Brenner in a Hawkins Lab van got cancelled. ☹️

Big twist: The Brenner scene is just a flashback in one episode and he isn't anywhere in the rest of the season.
It's like, I dunno man, I just don't care anymore.
Most of my Stranger Things posts are about how Dr. Brenner is basically a fill in for a better Peter Coyote character, i dunno.
Y'all thought Matthew Modine was playing Dr. Brenner again but it just turned out he was in the Operation: Varsity Blues scandal movie on Netflix.
I wish I could be more hype for the possibility of Brenner returning but it's just more of the same theories revolving around death wishes on the character instead of learning about something deeper about him and why he did what he did.
I'm tired of expecting way too much out of Stranger Things and getting the minimum back in return. I'm tired. 😩
It would be funny if Eleven came groveling to Brenner for her powers back and Brenner is just like "lol no kid those powers made you dangerous. go back to being normal and stop screwing with the monsters you idiot" and he just peaces out.

Sorry everybody but my tastes are changing and I'm not as interested in or as hyped for Stranger Things as I once was and new responsibilities in my life will probably keep me from engaging with the fandom as I once did.
