pool day preparation

it was the perfect weather for a pool party. with the sun shining brightly and the heat gradually getting more and more intense as the summer truely started, you had invited your friends over to hang out in your pool.

you planned to make it like an actual party, wanting to set the backyard up with nicely and have a table for snacks. haechan got to your house a whole hour earlier than the rest with the idea to help you set up.

obviously you were extremely grateful, but as you watched him pick up chairs and bring them over to the other side of the backyard, passing by the pool in the process you came up with an idea.

you continued bringing the snacks over to the table, trying to find the perfect time to execute your plan. you placed the last bowl onto the table just as he was placing down the last chair.

as he walked back the way he came, wanting to see if there was any more chairs he didn’t see around the corner, you came by his side.

“do you see that bug? it’s huge!”

“what?”

“right there, it’s on the water.”

you pointed at the water watching as he turned to look at the water. you pushed him into the water, hearing him shriek in surprise. you stepped back as he splashed into the pool, giggling to yourself while you watch him rise back to the surface.

he wiped the water off his face, looking at you as you giggle at him. “so there was no bug.” he said

“nope.” you say, still smiling ever so brightly.

he sighed, moving towards the edge of the pool.

“come here, help me get out.” he said rising his hand up as he approached the edge.

“I’m not falling for that.”

he gripped the edge of the pool, hoisting himself out with a grin growing on his face. you take a few more steps back. he looked at you for a few seconds, the both of you just staring at each other as you wait for the other to do something.

then he ran at you.

you quickly run inside your house, hearing his step quickly behind and the water hitting your floor as it dripped of you.

“LEAVE ME ALONE IM SORRY!”

you both did circles through your kitchen to the hallway to the lounge room to the kitchen again and again until he stopped and waited for you in the kitchen.

you ran right into him, his arms trapping you against his wet body. you laugh and fight against his grip, trying to get away from him as he moved you both back outside.

“I have my phone! don’t throw me in the pool please.” you said showing him you really did have your phone on you by holding it out. he laughed, still taking you close to the pool. “haechan please I love my phone. I’ll make you buy me a new phone!”

he suddenly tried to grab your phone out of your hand, which obviously you fought against. the both of you were wrestling, him back hugging you and holding you so you didn’t escape. he grabbed your hands, stopping you from moving them around.

he snatched the phone out of your hands, switching his arms to hold you with only one arm. you tried to get out but as he dropped your phone on the concrete as gently as possible he suddenly gripped you again and pulled you right to the edge.

he tried to push just you, the both of you giggling hysterically by this point. you held onto his arms tightly, refusing to let go even as he told you to just go in.

“okay say bye bye.”

“what-“

he let himself fall into the pool, taking you along with him. you quickly held your breath with a big breath. he let go off you, allowing you both to seperate.

you got your head above the water, wiping your face as haechan laughed manically in front of you. “you can’t push me in and not expect to be thrown in too.” he said, putting his hands up in defence when you splash water at his face.

you two were just trying to enjoy an evening at a bar for a friends birthday. the back of the bar was booked out meaning no fans were going to even be allowed in. it wasn’t fans that were the problem, but rather it was one of the staffs who recognised mark as an idol.

a photo of the two of you hugging each other and another one of mark kissing your cheek was revealed to the public and immediately the response was strong.

people you knew were recognising you and contacting you, EVERYONE was freaking out.

mark didn’t know at first until you called him, panicking as you explained what happened. he left his schedule as quick as he could and went home to you, calling the company to set a meeting to see where to go from here. he is rather mature about the situation and oddly calm, mainly because he knew this kind of thing was bound to happen one day.

doesn’t mean he isn’t panicking though.

renjun

he was the one who saw the post revealing photos of you two shopping together. in fact he saw the post before it even reached the general public. he was quick to get staff and his members to try and get the post taken down but it grew more popular by the minutes and eventually it was making headlines.

he called you and talked to you through what had happened. he was trying to be calm because this wasn’t the end of the world but damn did it feel like that as he read through the public’s opinion.

he did see a few positive comments but the negative outweighed them, so he deletes his social media apps of his phone, only posting photos on Instagram every now and then before deleting again. goes inactive until everything has calmed down for his own mental health and his suggest you do the same - even if it takes months.

you two were talking in the background of a behind the scenes video uploaded to the youtube channel. the editors thought you were a staff member, they didn’t even notice you and jeno hugging in the background that was only shown for a split second.

the clip was instantly being spread around and the youtube video was re-edited but it didn’t stop the original from being shown.

when he saw it he was a little shocked since he didn’t even notice that there was any type of camera in the room at that moment, which was why he was comfortably talking to you in the middle of the room.

you contacted him minutes later after he first saw it, crying in a moment of worry for what this all meant for you both.

he will reassure you but he will also be just as worried and be telling you to be careful if you go out anywhere JUST IN CASE.

haechan

on a live one of the fans asked what time it was there and he showed the fans his phone, not realising he hadn’t turned notifications off. you sent a message at that exact moment saying, “love, I’ll be home soon.” he moved the phone away quickly but he knew he was done for. he laughed it off awkwardly at first before apologising and ending the live.

he called you as soon as the live was over. “BABE I JUST REVEALED YOUR TEXT OH MY GOD”

you’re both freaking out but once you’re home he tries to calm down and think maturely about this. “look… they can’t ALL hate me? I’ll still be able to make music…” He is thinking positively and refusing to pick his phone up because he knows if he goes online he will only think negatively.

you were somewhat a youtuber, and in one of your vlogs, in the background as you walked with the camera through your house there was a picture of you and jaemin.

people managed to recognise it immediately and you were shocked because you didn’t even notice it when you were editing. you contact jaemin, worrying what he would say. you speak so fast into the phone that he didn’t even get to say anything until you were done speaking.

“love… it’s okay we can sort this out.” “I am so sorry jaemin.” “it’s okay, I’ll contact the company then I’ll call you right back, okay?”

you both ended up just coming out about the situation and admitting your dating. you take a break from your socials.

the only positive to this situation is that he gets to see you more since he doesn’t have to hide anything anymore. you can go to his place and he can go to yours!

there was two instances where he accidentally revealed it and he didn’t even realise that fans would connect these two instances. the first thing was when he accidentally followed your account on instagram. he went on bubble not long after he made it seem light hearted, “oh I accidentally followed an account while going through reels.”

the second time was when a fan asked to be daegals mother and he instantly said, “she already has a mother. WHICH is me I’m the mother and father. I’m the only one she needs.” he panicked as he spoke and tried to play it off.

fans put the two times together and looked more into it, figuring out that you two HAD to be dating. the one and only time the crazy fans were right.

he is panicking when he realises fans were figuring it out and instantly gets in contact with both you and the company. you’re a bit more calm over the phone about this than he is but when you see him in person you’re also freaking out.

jisung

you two were seen together out in public. it was really late at night when the two of you were going for a walk to a local shop near your place to get some late night food.

fans approached jisung, leaving you both shocked since he was disguised pretty well in your opinion.

the fans kept pestering you both so you two ran away- literally.

it made headlines the next day, and you laughed at the photos of you running away with jisung. your laughter was really just covering for how nervous and worried you were though. He on the other hand was texting everyone he trusted and getting all sorts of different advice.

he is really worried about what this meant for his future and he might consider a hiatus to avoid having to face the fans for a bit if the response is really negative.

when you walked through the door, completely drenched with water droplets falling onto the floor beneath you, he could only stare at you in disbelief.

“you should’ve brought a jacket at least… you literally keep an umbrella right by your front door!” he exclaimed, pointing at the umbrella right next to the door. you just smiled, “I wanted to see you right now though.”

he rushes you to the bathroom and tells you to shower while he gets you some clothes to change into.

when you said you were coming over right now, he thought you meant by car. you know, since it was literally storming. but when you arrived at his door, dripping water onto the floor and a broken umbrella in your hand, he almost laughed.

he acts fast, pulling you inside and rushes you into the bathroom where he runs the shower and gets you inside. he does this all the while telling you that he could’ve picked you up or that you should’ve put a rain jacket on.

he waited at the cafe, hoping you would get here before the rain hit. but you didn’t. so when you walked through the doors to the cafe, laughing at yourself when you saw your reflection in the window, he could only laugh at you as well.

“take an umbrella next time.” he said, taking his own jacket off to give it to you.

“I thought I could make it..” You say, looking down at the floor where you were quite literally dripping water into a small puddle.

haechan

you wanted to go for a walk before the day ended since you had literally done nothing all day despite the perfect weather. haechan didn’t want to go and instead said he would do the dishes while you were gone.

ten minutes later he heard heavy rain hitting the windows. he immediately called you, and was met with you yelling over the loud rain into the phone, “I CAN’T BELIEVE THIS HAPPENED TO ME!”

he goes to the front door, leaning down to put his shoes on, “where are you? I’ll come with an umbrella.”

“THE RAIN IS ON A ANGLE! I NEED A JACKET TOO!”

just know that when he approached you, standing under a tree that was somehow protecting you just a bit from the rain, he was laughing hysterically at you and your bad luck.

when you walked through the door, appearing in his lounge room, he was expecting you to be DRY and happy. not wet and upset. he rushes to his feet, taking his hoodie off in the process and walking over to you.

“you shouldn’t have walked in the rain.” he scolds, putting his hoodie over your head and onto your drenched body.

“I didn’t look at the weather. it was perfect all day and when I left the house the weather wasn’t even bad.” he just sighed and took a good look at you, laughing before telling you to go shower and he will get you some clothes.

chenle

you two were meeting at the shopping mall so you could then go for a walk to a garden nearby to eat lunch. neither of you read the updated version of the weather today, and only assumed it would be perfect weather just like it was when you last checked. however, chenle was smart enough to bring an umbrella, since the clouds did look a bit grey.

when you walked up to him, drenched from the heavy rain that was still falling from the sky, he laughed at you and pulled you into a tight hug.

“this isn’t funny.”

“yes it is, oh my god I have to get a photo.”

you texted him that you were on your way to his place, and told him to get a movie ready. every saturday, if not busy, you two liked to watch a movie together. it had been like this ever since you two were friends. as he got ready, he didn’t notice the rain, he didn’t even know it was going to rain today.

it wasn’t until he opened his door and was met with you, immediately rushing into his heated apartment. “I’m taking a shower.” you say as you take your shoes off and make your way through the apartment.

“why didn’t you bring an umbrella?” he asked, before taking a good look at you, “OR A JACKET?”

he really didn’t want to be jealous since he knew your relationship with his members was just platonic, but seeing you and chenle being so close, laughing at jokes together and even whispering to each other had mark feeling things he didn’t think he would be feeling. he kept glaring at chenle whenever he saw chenle going over to you. mark feels a bit silly for thinking badly about the two of you, so whenever you two are giggling together he just joins into the conversation until his feelings are at ease again.

when you and haechan discovered you both played the same game, you two got really close. renjun didn’t mind at first, until he found out you two called each other and played games together. he brings it up to you, telling you that he felt a bit uncomfortable with you talking to haechan so much. he will even message haechan how he feels as well, just to make sure you both knew he wasn’t happy with it. haechan told renjun to join them when they play a game. after that renjun wasn’t too jealous, and you and haechan didn’t call much anymore, only calling when you two were versing each other in the game.

jeno felt bad when he realised he was jealous of you and jisung. you were just being kind and helping jisung learn how to cook a simple meal. jeno didn’t do anything about his jealously, he just sulked to himself and waited for you to be done. when you came back to him, you noticed his sad mood. he tells you how he was feeling and you only laugh. “don’t worry, I like men that know how to follow a recipe.“ You say and he smiles at you. he might still feel a bit jealous for a while, but with a few kisses in front of judging jisung, it goes away.

you and jaemin both had an interest in photography, and while haechan did as well, you and jaemin seemed to really bond over this. the both of you talked separately to the group about this hobby one evening. haechan felt jealous so he places a hand on your thigh, reminding you that he was there. you look at him with an eyebrow raise but he just smiled at you. when you talk with jaemin again, haechan just gives jaemin a dirty look. jaemin notices and laughs, ending the conversation and points out how haechan was glaring at him.

he wasn’t jealous the first few times you and mark spoke in english together, he could understand what you spoke about most of the time. but one time, you and mark were speaking so fast to each other, both excitedly talking about a movie that you both had seen. he doesn’t do anything in the moment, but when you and jaemin were alone he asks about what you two spoke about. as you tell him, jaemin is playing with your hands, just touching you to comfort himself. you realise his actions and question him, “are you jealous?” “whaaat? noo.” he looks at your face, breaking into a smile. “maybe..”
