Art WIP I'm working on for Ofelia!

Little excerpt from Chapter 5 of With Stars to Fill My Dream to go along with it!

Behind her, hovering close, is a disembodied shape. It exists as a mass, spectral and pitch black in the vague outline of a person. He can’t make out any discerning features, can feel nothing but the heart pounding terror that Ofelia wades through as she caves in on herself, rocking back and forth, murmuring the song she and her mama had been chanting, shivering and jumping at every sound before red and blue lights blare in from the outside. The figure behind her moves slightly, and Astarion watches, realizes the twin points of red where the eyes should be flash to him and he almost loses the connection as the floor drops out beneath him and he spirals farther into her head, away from the eerie presence.

Creepy things to add to settings

Just to make things a bit more interesting

—Water stains from flooding

—Withered down machinery resulting from weather

—Torn fabric caught on spikes

—Attempting to find a hiding spot, only to turn around and find the skeleton of the last person who tried to hide there

—Expecting to see spiders and other bugs, only for them all to scurry away as a new presence enters the room

—Fog slithering in through holes in the walls or open windows

—Stepping on the dead, crunchy leaves of plants that started growing inside

—The characters knowing the floorboards will creak, so they try really hard to keep quiet as they travel. Make them all freeze when they hear something else coming at them and decide if they should stand still to keep from attracting any more attention or if they run for their lives

—The wallpaper and paintings on the wall torn off and scattered against the floor, leaving the walls barren and lifeless

it’s all about how you describe it! Find things that get under people’s skin (bugs, snakes, certain sounds, etc) and connect them to whatever you’re trying to make creepy

Silly arm swinging, kicking foot, shoulder-shake dance, (Karlach dance battles make her pull this mf routine out)

16. What do they do for fun when not adventuring? What are their hobbies?

Ofelia loves to play music and sing! She loves dancing and drawing, too!!
