“It’s not like I was a saint when I was your age either… and they wanted me to basically run an empire… ended up spending more than a human lifetime sharing space with a dragon like a princess in a tower instead. I scared them… I was different, I asked too many questions, poked into one too many dark corners.” Vanessa would try to explain about her own past, feeling unsure of the exact words to put together… and clearly nervous.

“I… really don’t know how to explain things in a way that articulates how much I went through… I have so much to make up for… all those times I should have been there… Just… try to understand that I know more about what you are going through than it might seem… even if it might not make sense.”

“And… considering what my relatives were like when they were alive, well…. Let’s just say… helping you scavenge was on the milder side of the things they did…”
