That's because Pedro. He has a habit of randomly touching her (Not in a weird way! Just arms and shoulders) way too tight. To the point when he actually bruises her. Most of the time he's not doing it intentionally. It's more of her simularity with Alna that Makes Pedro afraid Isabela would leave him too. He normally stops/loosens his grip once he realizes he's too rough. But he also doesn't feel really guilty/don't apologize

Tho Pedro is more likely to use physical force on Isabela if he wants to force her to do something. Simultaneously holding her too tight and bruising her.

Isabela herself doesn't tell anyone because she feels it's not something serious enough and that she's too old to coomplain to her parents anyway. But she sneaks to the kitchen to heal herself from time to time

I think from six months to about a year. Like cleaning the space, making all the supplies for a huge house, also blueprints (and considering that Casita was made out of magic there's a good chance they had to make it out of zero). It all would take time. And it's all is made by hand tools without a modern autmomized equipment. It all would take a long time.

Then, there's no way everyone would do northing but work on rebuilding. The village still has to supply itself. Like harvesting crops/taking care of animals in the very least. Some wouldn't work because of pregnancy or infant babies. Kids most likely will go to school too (tho maybe not, especially for kids around Mirabel's age who are more helpful, as we are talking about a rural town stuck in 1899) it takes off some hands that will, sure, do the simple tasks and not something hard. But it still takes time and effort. Also not everyone would have knowledge/skills for construsction

Also no gifts in play. Colombia is in equatorial zone and if I'm not mistaken May-June is about when the rainy season begins and rain comes almost every day. No Pepa to get it under control. All the injuries that nobody was having for longer than a queue to Julieta for years. No superstrenght to carry everything at once (and do everything else Luisa was helping the village with).

Also there would be days off, in the very least Sunday because of religion. And holidays/personal reasons when somebody can't work. I honestly imagine helping with Casita was more like a volunteer act for the villagers and not mandatory.

The problem with Encanto headcanons

As a Colombian I LOVED Encanto, but I know people have headcannoned Isabela as lesbian and Mirabel as bisexual among other characters. The issue with that is..

There is no issue.

In 2020 this was such a prominent issue to people and even 4 years later I have no idea why so many people took issue with this. It was fine for people to headcanon Elsa as lesbian, it was fine for people to headcanon Merida as lesbian, but all of sudden it's "forcing representation" and "taking away from the main story" if Isabela gets headcannoned as lesbian?? NOBODY is saying this for Max Goof and Bradley Uppercrust III when the movie was trending. NOBODY was saying it was forced representation when people shipped Bill Cipher and Ford Pines (even though the fact its gay isn't the issue but the fact it was a very manipulative relationship was but many people ignored that). And it's not bad to headcanon any of these things for any of these characters. I just don't understand why it was such an issue when Isabela (who's whole arc is honestly very WLW coded) gets called a lesbian. And its the fact its coincidentally a Hispanic character (I'm not implying ANYTHING.)

Overall, as a Colombian while i dont speak for every Colombian it never was and still isn't offensive to headcanon any Encanto character as queer since many people figured it was. Both the story and the headcanon can coexist. Acting this way won't get you approval from homophobes and transphobes! They still hate us stinkabutt 🤞

TL;DR : there was nothing wrong with headcanoning an Encanto character as queer in 2020 and there still isn't anything wrong with it in 2024.
