I love how you write the dynamic between mc with Billy + Stu, and after reading your ethan fic I like Ethan and mc's dynamic just as much

With billy and stu they prey on the naiveté mc has with male friendships and friendships in general, while with ethan it feels more like they both are sorta outsiders in the friendship circle (neither were there in 5) so I'm assuming that they gravitate towards one another? Mc would see herself in the uncertainty ethan would have in his place of the frienship, that feeling of being on the fringes and would probably get close with him through that. Going to what you said recently, he would probably see that as her 'choosing him', and would make his crush strengthen right?

this is sooo it!! can't believe i didn't see this until sooner but you understand the vibes so exactly it feels like you crawled into my brain and pulled it out lol

i'd even go as far as to say that with billy and stu the fact that reader is kind of new to the group also plays into how they play things, like especially at first, the reader just accepts any off behavior bc everyone else does and bc of the possibility of being 'cut off' from the friend group

also while i do love ethan's puppy energy after finally feeling like someone's first choice, he isn't above using the fact that mc isn't really a core 4 member to his advantage, i can see him trying subtly/not so subtly push at that insecurity in the reader in a panic if he sees the reader being a little too close/more friendly to the others in the friend group
