A Marriage may not be proof of true love but when Kishi writes "what reflected there was the real deal - love" it's pretty much true love...
Precisely not. You have to consider all components:
i. Authors are humans like you and me. They make mistakes, and theyare often far from perfect. You can’t expect them to present everything plausible and flawless.
ii. If that was the case, retcons wouldn’t exist. However, retcons doexist. You know what a retcon is? Reframing past events to serve acurrent plot need. A retcon clarifies a question without adding newquestions. It is mostly preferred when it contradicts nothing, eventhough the author changes the past story by using a retcon.- A great example of a retcon would be a scene from The Last.The film shows an eight-year-old Naruto that masters the Shadow CloneJutsu (although not so well); yet, he learned this technique in themanga not until he turned 12 years old.
iii. If that was the case, subtext wouldn’t exist. However, subtext does exist (and Kishimoto loves to use it, especially in combinationwith his excessive plot twists). Subtext is context which is notannounced explicitly by the characters or the author, but is implicit to theobservers. It is often content underneath the dialogue; unspoken thoughts and motives.- Agreat example of subtext would be the time when Sasuke is about toleave Konoha and Sakura confesses her love to him. Sasuke appears behindher, thanks her and knocks her out. That was an implication of arejection. It’s especially important to observe this culturalsubtext since the series itself is heavily based on Japanese cultureand tradition. It’s rude in Japan to refuse something directly.While non-Japanese people might not get it, Japanese people wouldclearly observe this subtext.
iv. Authorialintent isn’t important anymore and lost its original sense.- RolandBarthes, French philosopher, author, and literary critic, publishedan essay called Lamort de l’auteur (English for “The Death of the Author”). Hepostulates there that the author has to be treated as dead from aliterary point of view.- Intentionalfallacy. The problem inherent in trying to judge a work of art byassuming the intent or purpose of the author who created it.- Weakintentionalism. Mark Bevir sees meanings as necessarily intentional, but he suggests that the relevant intentions can be those of readersas well as those of the authors. Weak intentionalists emphasise that texts do not havemeanings in themselves. They believe that meaningsare always meanings for people—albeit the relevant people, whetherauthors or readers.
v. Itdoesn’t matter what the narrator(not Kishimoto!) suggests if he fails to portray it correctly. Thenarrator says what’s there is the real deal? Love? Well, theirfamily doesn’t seem so happy to me. Sasuke is never home, herefuses to touch Sakura, Sakura misses him, they never kissed, Saradais unhappy, Karin might be the mother and so on.

Think of this person while you’re charging (like) and then cast (reblog)
So when Grover said that he thought Annabeth was thinking of joining the Hunters and Percy's reaction was that he wanted to strangle these girls who looked 10-14, who had done nothing but mind their own business;

And he actually does try to stop her on Mount Olympus when he thinks thats whats going to happen...
I just know that if this had been in Annabeth or Piper's POV, the antis would have come running to label them as toxic, possessive and controlling.
Guess the same doesn't apply if its Percy...
