Let's talk about this, shall we?

(I'd like to offer my thanks to @/star-critter for listening to my insane ramblings about how Cyborg Sonic could have the hardest existential crisis)

So.

We all know Cyborg Sonic, along with the rest of Team Cybonic, were created to be perfect duplicates of the organic Team Sonic; down to every last detail, they are "twins" to Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy and Sticks, even their personalities match - and I believe even their way of life would be the same. Literally no difference.

Can you even imagine what would happen if Team Cybonic just tried to be "themselves" instead being duplicates of Team Sonic?

There is no possible way their AI would allow them to act outside of how they were made to act. imo

And what on Bygone Island caused Cyborg Sonic to keel over and start quetsioning his entire existence? Someone with half the brain asked the million dollar question: Who are YOU?

And Cy-Sonic couldn't answer. His AI is telling him that he is Sonic, but is that really his answer?

copy-pasted from my discord DMs Canonically, as we known, Cyborg Sonic does freeze up and basically have “.Exe not responding” moments when he encounters something his AI cannot compute.

Now imagine that, but so much worse.

Instead of freezing up and saying does not compute, Cyborg Sonic just falls to his knees, clutching his head, eyes glitching in and out of consciousness as he tries to answer the question “who are you?” And his AI can’t answer because he’s Sonic but who is he really?

Is he a person or is he just another Sonic, with no purpose other than being just a copy of Sonic?

Does he have freedom? Does he have a choice? If he truly wanted to be his own person, can he even be himself?

Is he thinking for himself, or is he just an extension of Sonic’s will? Are his emotions and actions his own? Is he even real?

He doesn’t know.

And I'm afraid he will never have an answer. He's stuck in this perpetual conflict between who he thinks he is and who he wants to be.

Error. Error. Error.

Summary: Shadie leads a very domestic life in Spiral Hill. She enjoys waking up early and spending time with her friends at the mineral museum. It's like all her pain and suffering has come to an end and is nothing but an old scar. But sometimes old wounds can reopen. And who would've guessed a monster of the night was the one to heal her wounds for good?

Honestly, I don't advertise this story enough augh- So anyways, this is a Shadow the Hedgehog/Sonic the Werehog story I'm currently dedicating all of my free time to I have written werehog stories in the past but I have never completed them, I intend for this to be the first one to be fully written and complete by next year

I honestly can't believe this is my first time writing a serious story for the Werehog, I have too much of a softspot for him, he's just a floofy puppy hgsdklsawioev

And anyways, I do hope everyone enjoys this fic and pray that i actually finish it for you all! I am making a promise this will be finished!

I would love to hear some feedback or just any comments you guys have for the story. It's only just started but I feel like a broken record I really do want it to go somewhere, I have plenty planned! This is really all I have today, so I'll see you folks around ^^
