100 days ago you disappeared. 100 days ago you left lucifer in despair as you suddenly were whisked away to the past. or that is what solomon and barbatos explained to him and his brothers. everyday without you has been torture for lucifer, he feels like he was dragged back into his darkest days when he first fell from the devildom.
lucifer forced himself back into his work without breaks, which you hated so much. he went back to barely sleeping, keeping himself awake with demonus instead of coffee. lucifer refused to buy coffee anymore, or drink the coffee that was in his bottom desk drawer.
the same hell coffee you made him that had such a bitter taste that he loved because it tasted like the love you had for him, he couldn’t handle it right now. lucifer looked like a mess after a while, and even began distancing himself from his brothers again, like when he had to hide the fact he gave away his freedom to diavolo for their sister’s life.
lucifer knew if you saw him like this, you would be furious with him, he tried to remind himself of it everyday to try and keep things normal, to keep his brothers out of trouble, but just reminding himself of your scoldings almost broke lucifer all over again.
lucifer hated he could no longer feel your connection through the pact, he still tried everyday for the hope that solomon, despite hating the sorcerer, would bring you home, back to him, back to your family.
100 days away
mammon's pov
the day you went missing and the day it felt like your pact broke, he was in hysterics. he searched your room, then went all over town to your usual spots, and then to the demon lord’s castle where he found solomon and barbatos talking, where even barbatos looked confused and panicked about the situation.
mammon was told that you had been taken to the past, and that solomon was going to find you and bring you back to him.
that was 100 days ago, and there’s no sign of you coming back. your first man spent the first month of you being gone crying alone in his room, begging you’d come back to him. after that, he felt enraged, he knew barbatos had powers to go in between timelines, yet he couldn’t just bring you home, he had to send solomon?
mammon made this loud and clear to the demon prince and his butler, along with his brothers, but his opinion went of deaf ears by diavolo and barbatos saying that they left the task to solomon, since the stupid sorcerer, knew more about the situation, after that day, mammon was more irritated and almost unapproachable.
mammon was the same demon that tried his best to keep his family together during the worst of times wasn’t even trying because he couldn’t get out of his own head, falling into a state of depression and sadness.
mammon promised he’d be the one to protect you from harm, you promised him that you would always summon him if something went wrong. yet you hadn’t, you hadn’t summoned him when you were suddenly pulled to the past. yet, he didn’t protect you either.
mammon felt like he broke his promise that he'd save you, yet solomon was, possibly, the one by your side right now protecting you from whatever was going on in the past. mammon just wanted to throttle barbatos and diavolo for not taking the easy way out and having barbatos go save you, that they’d give the lead to solomon.
mammon hated it more that neither of them were trying to figure out anything more about what happened to you. the fact you were sent to the past in the first place was just plain strange, and the fact that both barbatos and diavolo thought solomon was more suitable to save you was even stranger.
mammon tried to search for clues, search for anything during the past month, yet he was getting nowhere. hell, mammon was close to begging his father to bring you back to him, but he knew his requests would always go unanswered, so your first man could only try to live without you until that sorcerer brought you home to him. mammon hoped that you were wishing and praying to come back home as well.
