I don't think a lot of people understand why Damien is the way he is. I see a lot of people on tiktok hating on him because he can so easily murder. He was raised as an assassin, by Ra's Al Ghul himself who creates the most perfect murderers in the world, who do not hesitate. His own mother wasn't one to coddle him or even hug him in congratulations for even walking or learning how to talk, it was basic expectations. Murder was part of everyday life, and it was ingrained in him that it was okay and anyone who defied them was the enemy. There's no discussion. So when he's dropped off by his mother and given to someone who believes that there's no excuse for murder, it made no sense to him. He's been told and taught and trained that if you have the chance, you end whatevers causing your problems. There's no second chances. Damien was probably really surprised when Bruce told him that making mistakes were okay, and that he wouldn't be punished for showing interest in things outside of his training. And Raven is the perfect choice for him, since they both know misery and pain, and they can both trust in eachother 100%. Sure, it took Damien a long time to come to realize all these things and that loving Raven was a natural part of caring and growing close to someone, but he still learned it. All I'm saying is to remember the lack of childhood Damien had, and to give him credit.
