Ariel didn’t reveal anything about herself on the internet—None of her fans knew her real name, or age, or anything that could possibly identify her as Ariel Gianapoulou. To them, all she would ever be was SeleneDev. Many of her fans called her Selene, assuming that it was her real name, and she would never correct them. In truth, the reason she had chosen the name, SeleneDev was because it embodied everything that Ariel wanted to be. Selene was a moon goddess. People worshipped goddesses, but they could never get close to them, or see them in real life. The moon was only visible in the darkness of the night. It shone brightly when it was full, but only because of the sunlight reflected off of it. Ariel could only shine in the dark. Ariel stayed hidden so that Selene could shine in the dark.

This is a small snippet from Phoenix Awakening.
The faint trickle of music seeped into the air around her, growing louder and louder with each passing breath. The room began to spin. Her vision burning bright along the edges. Flashes of images raced across her mind. She was no longer seated in the vault but surrounded by a mob, angry and shouting. Fire and brimstone scorched her nose as the people marched ever forwards. Weapons drawn.
