Morgkley (& Darkwing! Beakley) headcanons
After her daughter hatched from her egg, it started to become more and more painfully obvious to Beakley that she couldn't go to long-term misions as a spy as regularly as she was used to. Sure, she could go whenever her daughter's father was the one custodying the baby, but being also a spy himself, it became more and more difficult over time and she couldn't bring to herself leaving her baby for a very long time. (Btw, they have a "we have a baby but we're not actually together" kind of relationship and they're cool with that)
✨
Still, she had been in SHUSH for a really long time and she couldn't just leave like that (too many enemies after her head and then she could be easily found. Not to mention that she was good at her job and enjoyed it)
✨
That's when the project Darkwing Duck came into place. St. Canard had been a high-criminal rated point and mostly controlled by FOWL for a while and SHUSH needed a dedicated agent exclusively for that zone. So she "oficially" quit her job (only a couple of people, Scrooge included, knew that she still worked for SHUSH) and by night Bentina would dress up as Darkwing Duck (mostly to prevent her old foes to join the criminals and chase after her) and fight against crime in the city while in the day she still took care of her daughter. Scrooge hired her as a housekeeper to cover up her work as a SHUSH agent just in case someone decided to track her down. She would just enter the mansion after taking her child to school and fall asleep in one of Scrooge's many bedrooms (and sometimes cook) until it was time to go back to get her daughter.
✨
Being Darkwing Duck at night is how she came across many villains and friends. And, eventually, Morgana Macawber. (Here's where the shipping part starts 7w7)
✨
Just like in the original DWD, Morgana was a witch that ruined businesses and stole to pay her student loans when she first met Beakley. Used as she was to make even the straightest girl do whatever she wanted and charm people with just her silky voice, she found out that the hero was slightly immune to her. Yeah, Bentina would stutter and blush in embarrassment whenever the witch leaned too close, but in the end Beakley would still do the right thing and that became a problem with her early plans. And what started as an interest due to the challenge that the masked duck represented quickly escalated into attraction from both sides since Beakley couldn't bring it to herself to take Morgana to the police (not that it would matter anyways. Morg could break free again from jail whenever she wanted).
✨
Beakley had a lot of trouble accepting her undeniable attraction to Morgana since "I'm supposed to stop villains, NOT FALL IN LOVE WITH THEM!!" as well as she wasn't so sure about how would her daughter react to it. Eventually she talks about it with Scrooge and, as he keeps getting more details out of her, he can't help but laugh harder and harder.
I imagine something like:
Beakley: "I have a huge problem. You see... I think I might be in love..."
Scrooge: *trying to reassure her* "Hey, that's good! Isn't it? "
Beakley: *nervous and restless* "Mmmmaybe?? I DON'T KNOW!!! She's... tall, and mysterious and wonderful and she has some kind of aura that attracts me like she has a gravity field of her own!!!"
Scrooge: *laughing quietly at his partner's apparent struggle* "Wait. A girl? THAT'S GREAT!! You should ask her out! If you don't know how I can help with~"
Beakley: "YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND!!! I'm supposed to stop her, not fall for her!!!"
Scrooge: "Wait. SHE'S A VILLAIN???!!!! THIS IS EVEN BETTER!!!!"
At this point his laughter is louder and Beakley stares angrily and embarrassed at him.
Morgana suddenly appears ready to get Scrooge's money and, by the surprised yelp that Beakley made saying her name and the blush that followed it, he knows exactly what's happening there.
Scrooge: " OH MY GOD, DON'T TELL ME THAT SHE'S THE ONE!!!"
So we have Beakley standing protectively between the two of them trying to hide her now bright red face, Scrooge laughing uncontrollably laying on the floor and a really confused Morgana looking at the two of them wondering what the hell is going on.
✨
With time they started dating, much to some people's amusement, specially Scrooge, Duckworth and Bentina's daughter's since they could and would tease her regularly about it. Morg was the one who put the magical part of the antimagical defenses at Scrooge's mansion and she helped them fight against Magica countless times.
✨
Morgana loves to give surprise smooches to Beakley. Mostly because the spy yelps and her face turns a bright crimson color that she adores.
✨
Beakley acts cheesy around her whenever she thinks they are alone. Morgana acts cheesy and flirty all the time.
✨
Beakley's daughter gets used to call Morgana "Momma". Sometimes due to the surprised and happy face the witch makes, sometimes to tease her and occasionally out of habit.
✨
For their 1st birthday together, Beakley payed all of Morgana's student loans without telling her in advance, so she could be free to do whatever she wanted without having to worry about them. (Scrooge lent her the money. In exchange she'd keep being his housekeeper. It was also a tactic for both of them to make sure that the other was safe and wouldn't disappear without them.). That led to a little argument because Morgana thought it was too much and didn't want Bentina to take care of her problems since she had enough on her own.
✨
They enjoy doing little things together and both of them are happy just by staying side by side. (although they always end up leaning into each other)
✨
One of the few things they argue over is who gets to cook. Each of them have their own way of doing it. And their tastes are different. One finds normals' food "boring" and "flavorless" while the other keeps arguing that FOOD IS NOT SUPPOSED TO MOVE IN YOUR MOUTH!!!!
✨
The first time Beakley asked Morgana to join her fight against a villain, she almost cried in happiness. The witch spent the whole mission acting nervous and self-conscious and Bentina had to reassure her several times. Those kind of situations kept going on for a while until they became an unstoppable duo that fought like they were a single person, trusting each other completely.
✨
But, when her daughter and her daughter's partner were (apparently) killed in an "accident" involving some FOWL agents (apparently) Beakley lost it. She cut her relationships with everyone who could be the next one on the list except for her own granddaughter, who hadn't hatched from her egg yet, and her former partner Scrooge (+ Duckworth). She broke up with Morgana without any explanation and suddenly disappeared from her life to keep her safe. (That's the thing Beakley regrets more in her entire life and won't let anyone repeat her mistake). The witch looked for her aura around the world in a restless attempt to find her but, since Beakley was hiding at McDuck's mansion protected with several antimagic systems, she couldn't find her and eventually gave up out of spite.
Here you go @helloplaystationallstarslove
(don't worry though, I'm thinking about a 2nd part where they find each other again after the Shadow War. Beakley has to make up to Morgana and the courtship and forgiving takes a while, but eventually she becomes Webby's goth grandma. Oh, and meanwhile Morgana brings Lena back and adopts her.)
(and sorry I took so long. The app crashed and I may or may not have been daydreaming way too much >/w/<)
@korrasamiswan
You asked what would Beakley do when she finds out Webby started dating someone (I'm going to leave the ship up to the reader too) Of course, these are just my headcanons. Probably VERY biased.
"If anything happens to my granddaughter, I'll END you"
Listen, she KNOWS Webby can take care of herself (after all, she's her granddaughter, she has trained her for YEARS and is so so proud of her little baby). She trusts Webby to make the right choice and, even though it's crushing her inside, she knows she needs to let her granddaughter grow up, make mistakes and learn for herself.
But she also knows Webby can be very innocent and gullible when talking about any kind of relationship so, unless she already knows the person Webby is dating, she's definitely doing some background research just in case. Letting Webby make her own mistakes doesn't equal at not being ready if it backfires.
And of course, there's no way on Earth she's letting Webby get hurt because of someone else (be it either because they are killed, they are being used as leverage against her in a fight or because Webby is too busy protecting them and puts herself in danger) so if anyone wants to date her granddaughter, they should really get ready, because she's definitely teaching them to fight bullets with their bare hands.
Also, I'd like to think that she becomes kinda protective of Webby's special partner(s)? She doesn't necessarily 'like' them at first, it's more of a "you make my granddaughter happy so I'm not risking it" until she ends up growing fond of them. But yeah, in life or death situations she MAY take a bullet for them.
More detailed reactions depend on who are they, I guess.
Ik you reblogged it on your reblog account, but can we get some Head cannons for my girl Lena???
I'm gonna do one of each because that sounded interesting af
Headcanon A: what I think realistically
She won't even try to develop her powers and become a sorceress. Lena isn't nearly as interested in magic as Violet and Webby and, while she's happy to help them a little bit with their spells or uses her powers to mess with the triplets, she doesn't actively seek ways to keep advancing or to become even more powerful. She had enough of magic for a lifetime and just wants to live in peace now that she's finally free.
Headcanon B: what I think is fucking hilarious
Sometimes she loses grasp of how material her body should be, so she's just walking around and suddenly Lena has phased through the floor and fallen in the basement just because Webby distracted her.
She has plummeted on top of someone else more times that she likes to admit.
Headcanon C: what is heart-crushing and awful but fun to inflict on friends
She has constant nightmares of Magica coming back. Sometimes, the sorceress directly hurts her family one by one to punish her. Sometimes, she possesses her instead and makes her do it, so she sees the look of betrayal in their eyes and hears them begging her to stop without being able to do anything.
Lena can't quite control her powers, specially when she's asleep so, when that happens, she's so distressed that she unconciously gives life to the shadows of the rest of the people in McDuck Manor (Shadow War style) and all of them gravitate towards her to protect her.
Headcanon D: what would never work with canon but the canon is shit so I believe it anyways
SHE'S ADOPTED BY MORGANA.
No, I don't take constructive criticism.
Lena still doesn't like magic nor any kind of sorceress, but Morgana doesn't force her to use her powers. Morg helps her to control them without expecting more implication or help from Lena's part in any kind of ritual, has a bunch of weird stuff and pets and is easy-going and fun to hang out with (and not nearly as strict as Beakley or Donald).
Besides, it's obvious that Morgana has no experience with being some kind of parental figure and Lena clearly isn't used to having one, so they both learn together and work out their boundaries to something comfortable for both of them.
Is it to late to ask about the headcannon thing? Can you answer Beakley plz, for all of them? Thx
IT'S NEVER TOO LATE TO ASK FOR BEAKLEY HEADCANONS, MY DEAR ANON
Even if I'm late af answering, so sorry about that
Headcanon A: what I think realistically
She put a tracker on Webby inside the pink bow she always wears. She did tell Webby and taught her how to activate and deactivate it, so her granddaughter could send a distress signal even when she was at the other side of the world.
Headcanon B: what I think is fucking hilarious
She won't let anyone out-flirt her. Whatever it takes. If she stopped even for a moment, she would become a blushing mess and be easily overpowered and she can't have that. So if she starts flirting with someone she likes and they flirt back, it'll end up in a contest where they're both flirting aggressively until her love interest gives up or they're both blushing to the point that they are practically glowing red and they start making out.
Also, Beakley and Launchpad bond over having an unlawful lot of past lovers and ex-significant others. The family needs an expert that knows how to do X? Either Beakley or Launchpad know someone. It's ALWAYS an ex they ended being friends with after they broke up. They're the epitome of bi-pan solidarity.
C: what is heart-crushing and awful but fun to inflict on friends
Beakley lost her daughter and was left in charge of Webby, who at the moment was just a tiny baby that could fit in one of her hands, some days before Della took the Spear.
When Duckworth called her after Donald left with the triplets, telling her what happened and how Scrooge wouldn't even leave his study, she immediately sold her house in London and left to Duckburg, pushing all her own pain and grief aside to be the shoulder to rely on for both her partner and her little granddaughter.
option D: what would never work with canon but the canon is shit so I believe it anyways
Before he bought the mansion and officially became the richest duck in the world, Beakley and Scrooge shared a house during the time he spent in London because it was cheeper (aka. she found him one morning at her doorstep with all his bags and decided to roll with it. One extra pair of eyes to make sure she wouldn't be killed in her sleep).
That's how they know Beakley can clean up Scrooge's messes both literally and figuratively. He used to burn the kitchen A LOT (It's not that he doesn't know how to cook. He just doesn't know how to use her kitchen)
Just two friends sharing a house (and a single braincell, which was Beakley's most of the time), not even five meters apart cuz they're both partners and gay af.
Give us the beakley 📂 headcannons OP
Gladly 7w7
*She wasn't exactly the stay at home kind of parent with her kids, and that had been decades ago, so when she was left in charge of Webby permanently she knew relatively few about everything that needed to be done to take care of and raise a newborn duckling.
Luckily, despite Scrooge refusing to even look at the baby, she wasn't exactly alone on that. Duckworth knew A LOT about kids (all of it learned from the time he spent raising the Duck twins between adventures) and Quackfaster did have a great list of reccommended readings in the parenting section and acted as surrogate teacher in the few occasions that Beakley's own duties piled up and became too much.
*She knows A LOT of languages. Most of them learned by going with Scrooge on his adventures. A couple thanks to solo misions. She always made a point of trying to learn as many as possible because the more you know, the less likely that you'll overlook vital information. She taught Webby most of the languages she knows by the time she was seven and they used to practice together a lot. The triplets sometimes catch them having regular conversations in some or other lost language out of habit.
📂 for Ramsey if you don't mind?!!!!?
OF COURSE <3
*Despite having absolutely no need because he can get as much money as he wants to always go eat outside, Ramsey is pretty good at cooking and enjoys it a lot, and given the chance he WILL rant about his special dishes and the right kind of meals.
(He took a look at his new partner's eating habits and went "Percy, nO-" because she pretty much eats literally anything she finds in the fridge)
*What says "con-artist" more than using fake gold to pay for your fellow art students' careers as a fuck you to the exorbitant prices, am I right?
📂 Webby?
Starring your lovely Winnie because I couldn't resist, I hope that's okay ^^
Webby and Winnie share a fake ID card.
How does that work, you may ask, do they take turns??
No.
They're literally two ducklings in a trenchcoat faking to be one older duck.
Winnie's the one on top bc she can control better her emotions and manages to sound more serious and mature while Webby is the one excitedly carrying her around.
They were accidentally almost found out just once by a poor unsuspecting employee, but Webby panicked and knocked him out before he had time to even say hi.
They're very proud that they have managed to keep this secret from their granny this long. Beakley's waiting for them to realize that they're not as discreet as they think.
(Some Beagle Boys are convinced they're the Vanderquack twins' secret aunt and are terrified because goddamnit, Beakley's family keeps growing out of nowhere and they're all monsters when it comes to a fight, maybe they really should move out to another city...)
