I can't help but feel like the caretaker is supposed to be a parallel to Alice. Someone who keeps their head down and refuses to see the awful things that their complict in until those awful things come to get them

Hello everyone, sorry for disappearing from Tumblr for a month (it's happened before and it'll probably happen again) but I finally broke my two-year streak of Not Writing!!!
I wrote 9000 words of a Magnus-verse crossover between Archives and Protocol that I'm very proud of actually!!! (And posted it like, two minutes before episode 8 dropped, so it still counts lol)

Sam blinks, hard, as something trips that sense of deja vu again. The way he said that, even more stuffy and academic than before, sounds incredibly familiar in a way that’s almost within his grasp.
“Wait a second,” Alice says abruptly, her voice pitching up. The strangers pause their bickering, turning to frown at her as a huge grin spreads across her face. “Are you Chester?”
