There’s something to be said about the parallels between the Amethyst Empress being cheated out of her birthright by the Bloodstone Emperor and Rhaenyra being cheated out of her birthright by Aegon.

Both women, opposed by their male kin, because of sexism… and both events led to greater tragedy.

The Long Night and the death of dragons. Both events directly caused because a male family member usurped the female ruler.

There’s no way Daenerys will lose her right to the throne by Jon or even Bran. Otherwise it would make GRRM’s point invalid. All the women that try to rule and gain power just become deposed? No, that’s a horrendous message to send. Dany is justice for the Amethyst Empress and Rhaenyra. She has to sit the throne. A woman has to sit the throne, that’s what this whole series feels like it’s been about, in my interpretation.

Day 7: Theories/speculation

The usurpation of two women who were the rightful heirs to the throne caused the Long Night and the death of the dragons. Now, Daenerys, who brought the dragons back to life, will use them to end the Long Night and sit the throne.
